Any team that hires Google McFartweed will have a decided schematic advantage. He is particularly adept at generating the clearing of running lanes for running backs and separation for wide receivers.

If Michigan fires Harbaugh, I would think we should give McElwain a call. He knows the SEC very well and has ties with Pruitt.

If Michigan fires Harbaugh, they're insane.

I've argued for awhile that Michigan is the most overrated CFB job. It's recruiting base has disappeared as American economic might has moved both southward and to the coasts. It has to compete at a severe disadvantage with schools like Ohio State and Penn State, which both have much better natural recruiting footprints. Michigan has the prestige and resources to lure recruits from Florida, Texas, and California, but it's a lot easier when you can grab 8 - 12 recruits from your home state / region; and not have to get all of them from 1000+ miles away.

Harbaugh is 38-13. That's pretty good. Harbaugh gives them their best chance at a national championship in the next decade.

He's 38-13 with three 10 win seasons out of 4. What other coach coach currently on the market is going to compile a record even close to that? Urban is to Harbaugh, as Spurrier was to Fulmer.

I know what you're saying. It is logical. However, you know the illogical hatred UM has for the Buckeyes and Harbaugh isnt getting it done.

Michigan's best bet is to hope that Urban's propensity to get himself involved in scandals, eventually forces him to seek treatment for his arachnoid cyst by going to USC when they finally break down and fire Clay Helton. Then Harbaugh can go on a 10-year streak against his replacement.

Wolverines are impulsive, impatient, easily provoked and temperamental. Im not sure they can bide time.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned Kendal Briles, the OC at Houston. He seems to have his dad's offensive mind without the baggage.
