Imagine doom-posting on a copium thread. Don’t y’all have something better to do? Don’t you have pictures of Robert Redford to go stare at enviously? Don’t you have some rage-bait posts for boomers to go read on Facebook? Not for a waste of time like this, no. Too late for me to hit the door. The Vols beat me to it.
Thank you and welcome to the thread. Take a seat, get cozy, and have a glass of copium courtesy of yours truly. You’re welcome folk around these parts.A lot of teams lost ahead of us, but I'm not sure there is enough time left in the season to jump 15 spots.
Appreciate the copium and optimism thread, this place has been like a funeral parlor here lately. Lol
UVA getting beat also. Need more chaos and havoc. What are our odds after this weekend?
#16 Vandy won (needed them to win for us winning to mean anything)
#7 BYU lost
#20 Iowa lost
#22 Missouri lost
#23 Washington lost
Need Navy or Pitt to beat ND? Need Alabama to beat OU? How high do we rise in the off week?
We don't need toget embarrassed in the playoffs. We cannot compete with the big dogs. After Fla game, we will be looking at a bowl game.Contrary to what you think, so long as we’re ranked in the CFP, we’re still in discussion, no matter how far fetched. I’ll refer you to the aforementioned door if you’ve nothing further to contribute.
The Vols currently have greater than a 1% chance to make it. Considering that you’re envious of the looks of a man that is now 6 feet under, I’d say the Vols are in a much better position than you are with Sidney Sweeney. Next.I have a better chance of waking up between Ali Larter and Sidney Sweeney in the morning.
I probably do have a chance of looking better than Redford at the moment but not when he was 30. That would be the obvious comparison to make. And I’m sure I didn’t need to clarify the comment for anybody else except you.The Vols currently have greater than a 1% chance to make it. You’re still here old timer? And yes, you definitely didn’t need to clarify the comment, although I’ll admit, I’m still struggling to make sense of what you’re trying to get across… you now have a chance with Sidney Sweeney, but only because your reference ages you to somewhere in the mid-50s early 60s timeframe (low estimate)?I probably do have a chance of looking better than Redford at the moment but not when he was 30. One percent? You are dwelling in fantasy land and I’m not going to waste any more time on some dream. See if you can lasso a unicorn while you’re there. (You’d have a better chance of that too.)
Thank you for stopping by @Freak, always good to hear from the Pooh-bah his-self. Yours is probably more complicated than my simple “which dominos must fall for us to be in conversation?” thread, but I welcome the discussion!I think Tennessee missed its opportunity to be be in the discussion this year, but I’d love to know if anyone has done the math on who the five highest ranked conference champions will be to receive the automatic bids and how high a team would have to be ranked to get an automatic bid. I assume it all depends on how the conference championship games go. If the favorites all win, that leaves more spots open for at large bids.
