A point guard would help. Also get some long athletic guys who can guard, it works for ricky p.Even though I have said this before...this will be the last time I take an emotional approach to my NCAA picks. With that out of the way I would like to say this has been a wonderful ride.
Now I am calling on experts from all corners of the Volnation to let us know what this team will do to get over the tourney hump.
It seems as though we need a to have a little more organization of our chaos. I know that guard play would help tremendously.
Any guesses of a blueprint moving forward?
I read this over coffee this morning..Any guesses of a blueprint moving forward?
...The Vols will certainly be different without the deep shooting of Lofton and JaJuan Smith and the steadying personality of fellow senior guard Jordan Howell.
But they just might also be better. If J.P. Prince ever settles in at point guard the Vols could conceivably field a team with no starter shorter than 6-6. Imagine Pearls press with all that wingspan to pass around, all that height to pass over.
As good as Tennessee has been in Pearls first three seasons, they could become even better next season, capable of suffocating anyone smaller and frustrating the rare team that might be taller.
Maybe none of that will immediately erase frustrating end to this season. But it should make the off-season move along more quickly.
1) Our weaknesses we completely exposed in this tourney.
2)Despite all prevailing mentality I dont believe us to be a very deep team.
3) Cant wait for West to arrive on campus.
4) This team has a some basketball IQ issues.
5) Pearl did an amazing job with a team that has some severe deficiencies.
5) Lofton completely vanished as did his draft status.

I don't want to burst the bubble, but this team with JP as primary PG will never make a tourney run. JP is a slashing swingman who could defend and rebound extremely well with some weight room and focus help.
We signed a kid named Daniel West who is a true PG. He was probably the last of the decent PGs available at the time of our signing him.
One is dead on. I love Chris but get NBA caliber type guys in his face and a former NBA coach that knows what to do, you get my point. Also, good call on UT losing by at least 9, hated to see it but it was dead on.1. All of you who have claimed Chris Lofton can play in the NBA, please watch tonight's tape again.
2. To all of our genius fans who thought we had the advantage in depth, check Earl Clark's numbers.
3. To everyone who questioned me placing Louisville ahead of Tennessee in the Trap's preseason poll, I'm not laughing with you, I'm laughing at you.
4. Tyler Smith should go to the draft forthwith. Building a life for your child is far more important than entertaining a bunch of ingrates.
5. Ramar, don't listen to our alleged fan base. You'll be fine.
6. JP, please see if Lute will take you back.
7. Ryan Childress, Wright State could use you.
8. Bruce, use that scholarship to get Ramar some JUCO help.
9. Brian Williams and Wayne Chism, keep doing what you're doing. You're both going to make a lot of money playing this game.
10. Cam Tatum, your time is now.
