Depends on what you do. For any kind of motorsport, cycling, or if you often have to look at digital screens, full polarization is not a good thing.

True, gives you that funky look to digital screens. I mainly wear mine for swimming, golf, and shooting, works very well for that.

For motorsports and cycling, they ratchet down the polarization so that wet spots/puddles still give off enough shine in order to see them on the road

what ever you get, make sure they're polarized.

I do love polarized lenses but to me they aren't worth the extra $80. The Black Iridium lenses that come standard are extremely dark and do a damn good job for no extra cash.

Unless you play baseball or cycle and need a pair of lightweight glasses that stick to your head well, no.

They are intended to be sport glasses and unless you are competing in a sport that requires them don't drop the $ just for the label.

Over the years I've owned RayBan, Oakley, Revo, Bolle and Costa Del Mars. The Costa's with the 580 glass are hands down the best by a mile.

I've got a pair of Half Jacket XL 2.0's, wear them all the time. The polarized lenses are worth the extra cost.

Me too love them. Just went to the Oakley website earlier and ran through the personalize options. I see a new pair of orange/white coming for x-mas.

I'm a huge fan of Oakleys. There's a military discount Oakley site for great prices on black ones. I have the Straight Jacket in those and then I customized a pair of Minute 2.0s.

I disagree on the polarized thing. I'm not on the water or in heavy snow/white out conditions and I find the polarized lenses mess with my depth perception which really screws me up when I golf.

Going to be a police officer. I need high quality, durable sunglasses that I can wear comfortably all day without them falling off my head if I am doing something physical. These seemed to fit the bill and look damn good imo.

Check out Oakley Standard Issue. Somebody mentioned it earlier.

Discounts for Military, Police, Fire/EMT, Pro-Force, etc.

I've got Straight Jackets, Fives Squared, and Gascans from Standard Issue, 1 Oil Rig, and 2 pairs of Mister Potato Head Oakleys (Oil Rig and Monster Pup).

Mister Potato Head Oakley's can be some decent deals...Its essentially when oakley has leftover frames and leftover lenses they combine and sell to move inventory.

2 years ago...I refused to buy anything more that Ironman's from Target. Funny how things change...

Nothing better than what Oakley offers, one of the few brands I'm loyal too and trust my eyesight to.

There are only so many frame manufacturers so don't think each highline brands makes their own frames. Luxottica is the worlds largest frame manufacturer and they own Oakley as well as RayBan and a host of other brands.
