Update(haha). Niedermeyer has been in touch with Washington today. The kid has not signed unless it's with UT which i do not think is the case. Coaches from opposing schools cannot contact a kid once they have signed is my understanding. So, as of 1 hour ago i seriously doubt this kid has signed anything.

I would guess DW would have enough respect for Nieds, who has recruited him for a very long time, to let him know he’s signed with a different school, so that Nieds doesn’t commit a violation. Therefore, the 3rd thing is eliminated. He’s signed and is a Vol or hasn’t signed anything.

If a prospect signs an LOI in the forest, but doesn't send it to anyone, did he really "sign an LOI"?

This sounds like people who bought into rumors now trying to walk them back while still trying to make themselves "correct".

I personally feel like he's a Georgia lean (and hope I'm wrong), but I'm not buying into the "super-duper-extra-secret LOI that is locked in a vault" story. I suspect he was leaning Georgia, wanted more time to think about, and that's it. If he did, in fact, sign an LOI and not send it out, it's irrelevant since he could change his mind and sign a different LOI.

The rule is there but amended. It is true that it’s a violation to speak to a recruit after signing with a recruit, LSU was hit with sanctions on Matt Womack when you were allowed limitless contact with a recruit when they signed fin aid agreement. But, then kids starting signing multiple ones. LSU has been the only school sanctioned for something similar as in subsequent cases, the schools successfully argued they didn’t know. No punishments has happened last couple years with recruits have done this with ESD then announced at ASG. I do expect his camp to deny signing to drum up more interest for his decision. Only one school will know for sure.

Still say the biggest piece here is Niedermeyer basically vanishing. He had a huge year last year and this year he has not hit on any. I think his silence right now and AVs silence tells us this isn't over and they are working their asses off to finish this. Nieds didn't even shout out a single commit yesterday and has basically been missing since DW went back home.

I dont think DW has signed anywhere regardless of what secking says.

Nieds has been quiet on Twitter, but he's liked some of the recruits tweets over the last few days. So, he's not saying anything, but he most definitely has been on there.

Respectfully I disagree. Secking has legit info and when DW put out his tweet saying he was waiting, Secking came in and told us he knew DW was in fact signing yesterday. Approximately 1 hr later DW sends out cryptic tweet insinuating he just signed so I don't know how Secking knows but he knows on this one..

agreed, with one little caveat...according to what he was told, we led. he wasn't giving his opinion or prediction...that's what he was led to believe, and he shared it. he's never just outright said he's a vol. he's said we lead and there's reasons for all the stuff we're seeing etc....

its entirely possible that he, and others possibly, were misled, just like with the Hardy deal.

He did say 90% Vol, but you are correct. He never said 100%, and he clarified that things could always change.
