IMO, the silence from insiders is a good thing on DW. If we did throw him some benefits and he still turned us down for the dawgs, I don't see any issue with one of the insiders coming in here and ruining his big surprise. I wouldn't respect a kid's want to keep a secret, if he screwed us.

Aubrey Solomon said, on record, one of the things he liked most was the candid relationship he had with a lot of UT's coaches. He said he was recruited by multiple members of UT's staff that were at different schools but mostly it was how Rocker (then with UGA) handled his commitment to Michigan with a simple "congrats, I with you the best, I'll always just be a phone call away" (paraphrasing, this was an on-radio interview so I'm trying to remember).

Neids and anyone/everyone with UT would be best suited to handle this with care in the age of 'turn on a dime transfer'. If he goes to UGA and they're a complete dumpster fire, DW could look to UT and want to transfer just like how Solomon did. It would be best to respect a kids decision even if he "screwed us".

no they would say they dont know anything rather than acting like none of us are interested in this
What would be the point of saying they know nothing when they can simply say nothing? Would seem to imply they know nothing.

Well for one, Neids is very close with Darnell. There's mutual respect there. Even if he didnt choose us, Neids would still respect his decision to keep quiet. 2nd, that insider who leaked just shot themselves in the foot and just kissed their insider status goodbye.
yup

scorched earth is what posters want them to do....
if that is in reference to me then you have misconstrued my meaning

i am not asking Hubbs to divulge or ruin Washington's day or his wishes

just odd that they would refuse to discuss or mention him for 6 weeks when they spoke about it for the entire season.

because they talk about recruiting without knowing all year

I know he signed yesterday, I said he would even when he tweeted he wouldn’t. As for the latter, you know I’m not answering that, he has three good choices between UT, UA, and UGA. It’s his moment, he waited (and worked) this long to have it.
I believe you and this isn't good news for UT. You knowing means he signed with UGA. Oh well, could still close with Hardy, Beckwith and a couple others.

Must have missed it, but did someone say that they physically saw a signed loi?

How else would one know where he has signed? Unless you truly believe that a member of the coaching staff shared it with ONE person who just happened to post it on an anonymous message board and no one else. We are talking about a signed letter of intent not top secret government information. It would have leaked to the press by now

Is it odd tho? It's easier to say nothing than something when you have no pertinent information. Path of least resistance.

The sooner you come to terms with the fact that there are very few if any insiders on this board will make your life much easier. IF an "insider" were informed of a signing then logic would suggest that he or she would have not been the only "insider" to be told said information. The chances of that leaking to just an anonymous message board is nearly zero.
what does any of this have to do with what she posted?

her assertion is correct. no matter how many insiders there are, or aren't, on this board, the one that would leak it would basically be giving up that status.

she's not wrong......

Like I said, sec including Bama in the middle of all the Ga/TN talk, has me uneasy.
And those of us that know AV is legit, also know he relies a lot on the kids for the recruiting stuff.
I fully trust him and take the final predictions with hopefulness and a grain of salt.

Definitely less confidence now.
But can't decide if I lean Bama after the post or look towards SK's borderline jollyness, more. 😂
Eh, he may pick Bama. Saban could just be blowing smoke to bring some attention to their program since they've fallen some out of the lime-light.

So dawg.

some insiders are actually in the room.

not just the coach's grocery bagger that over heard something they shouldn't have.

lol.

The UGA coaching staff must have called a secret meeting that included all fans, media members, and staff to inform them that he was signing yesterday but that they must promise not to tell anyone in order to honor the wishes of recruit. Secking is just honoring that commitment he made to Kirby

There are a few "insiders" on this board, but an insider isnt God and things change up until the moment a signing is completely done and announced.

Not sure why this is hard to understand. An "insider" is simply someone who has access to information that others don't, usually through a relationship. That information is only as good as the originator. If I had a personal relationship with Moose, I would know what he allowed me to know, and even that would only be as good as what he himself knew. To the extent that a) the recruit isn't misleading Moose, and b) Moose was wiling to share what he knew, an insider could bring good info. I'm certain that more than one person on here has relationships with people who know more than the general public. Sometimes those people share info with the "insider". Less often, the info share is actually factual. There is a non-zero set of people who bring info others don't have. That info is neither 100% correct, nor 0% correct. Judge for yourself.

But we're at a point where the recruit has made clear he wants privacy. They're going to give it to him because they rely on relationships with recruits to do their jobs. If recruits don't think they can be trusted, it affects their job.

Or maybe...

He knew that we knew that he was trying to throw us off the trail so he threw out UGA to fake throwing us off the trail but actually that was the one that he knew we wouldn't recognize was the real trail-thrower-offer in an effort to detrail the trail-thrower-offer to further confuse the confusing trail-thrower-offer in an effort to make it PLAIN AS DAY...

.... that he's a Vol

Gotta read between the lines, hun
