Not Calling a Timeout

I don't think not calling a time-out was the sole reason we lost. I think it was a poor coaching decision regardless though.

I think Fulkerson's performance was likely the reason for the loss today. He was frustrated by the athleticism and size of Auburn and was bullied in the paint.
I agree. Fulk doesn’t handle shove no-calls very well

I'm a big Rick Barnes fan, but not calling a timeout during an 18-0 run when the momentum started shifting is inexcusable. Especially with a young team that started turning the ball over. I don't know how you can explain not calling a timeout.
Barnes gets a $10,000 bonus for each timeout he has left at the end of each game. Again, he’s laughing all the way to the bank

We literally gave this game away with one turnover after another down the stretch. Our young players just do not know how to take care of the ball. And it didn't help that Auburn went into desperation berserker mode when they realized they had nothing to lose -- and the refs let them turn it into a hockey game. So we were probably going to lose no matter what. Honestly, how many of you thought at halftime that we would NOT somehow blow it in the second half? Maybe Barnes not calling a timeout will help them realize that they've got to grow-up, take care of the ball and not expect daddy to call a timeout and make it all better when things get tough.

When you are up by 17 points with 12 minutes to go and then shoot 3 of 11 and have 10 turnovers the last 12 minutes, you’re not going to beat any team except maybe Vanderbilt

I swear this is the only fanbase in sports that obsesses over how much their coach is paid. Literally no one else talks about this. It’s so dumb. It doesn’t affect your life in any way.

It’s logical. If you pay a premium price you expect a premium product.

Actually, not caring at all about what your coach makes and being satisfied with mediocrity regardless of salary is illogical.

Just sayin.

We lost because we turned the ball over twenty-three freakin' times.

With SV sitting on the bench JJJ dribbled the ball to the sideline right in front of Barnes looking for the timeout. Nope. He then dribbled back to the top of the key and promptly turned it over. Auburn scored and it was over from there.

JJJ is A HUGE disappointment. Poor guy is barely good enough to be a 3 star and he was given 5 stars by the recruiting services. He may not see the court much next year
