Well if they ever had a chance to beat UT, I'd say this is the year to do it.

Upset? I don't think it would be an upset if we lost. Just another game in this pathetic season that we have to endure. I just want to see what team shows up.

we're actually favored by 16. If I were a gambling man.... I would probably pick NIU on this one, if Crompton is starting especially....

They actually have a chance if they don't get too overconfident watching our game films.

Auburn beat Tennessee 14-12...playing about as bad offensively as possible..so..we lose to NIU

It's definetly possible
their averaging over 30 a game, and we average 19, and we have no confidence on offense

Northern Illinois beating us would wind up being the most important thing to happen to Tennessee football since 1998. It would sfor sure signal a regime change.

I think we'll lose this game if we fail to score 17 points or more.

Before you laugh, consider that UCLA is 1-3; Florida lost to Ole Miss; and Auburn has a pretty bad offense.

We have not been struggling because other teams are "better" than us. Frankly the teams to which we've lost games aren't world beaters.

NIU has a big time chance to make this a close game. If they get a special teams play, or a big defensive play they're going to be in the game until the end.

How many of you are old enough to remember the game with North Texas State? Is it possible with Northern Illinois? Sure is.
