I mean the record speaks for itself. Idk how you can win based on just talent and not coaching in this climate when just about every top team has decent talent. If she can’t coach offense what does that say about the SEC and the rest of the country sans UConn?

I didn't say Staley can't coach. She's got decent assistants. I just believe she's not a good offensive coach and I'm not apologetic about it either. Frankly I have not liked her from her high school days. Way too much of a Diva for my taste......just like her fans now.

Cluck….sour grapes in play no doubt. That “diva” has accomplished more in her career as a player and coach than most any have, yet Ricky says nahhh. She has never gone with a soft schedule either, usually the top or close to top schedule every year. Bring it on mentality.

Past ten years under a "flawed" diva coach:

319-35 overall
147-13 SEC
7 Final Fours
3 National Championships
8 SEC Championships
4 undefeated conference records
38-0 season
Average National p5/4 offensive ranking: 5
Average National p5/4 defensive ranking: 2
Average National SOS ranking: 1

But I digress.

And what a disaster that would be. As a true southern state y'all share our culture and have little in common with Big 10 schools. Don't see y'all looking forward to playing Northwestern, Rutgers, Penn State, Illinois, Washington and the list goes on. The only positive with Big 10 teams is their fans have most of their teeth.

I recall her as a good rebounder and tough inside. She’s a player I wish was given more minutes.

This is what you do not get. Staley bases her offense off of defense. It has and will always be a winning strategy. If you choose this route, then you take what the defense gives you. You run your offense off this and it will provide a lower scoring game and, in most cases, a win. There will be times that it will produce high scoring games but more times than not it will make games more like walking in mud rather than a foot race. Her record speaks for itself. It is a winning strategy that even the pros want in their players. You never hear the crowd chant "offense".... it's always "defense!!!" Even the fans know which is better. 🤣
