Local news station: Tennessee's "Neyland Effect" could be hazardous to fans | WTVC
It would appear that Neyland is crazy loud... who knew?
"If it damages my hearing and we win it's fine, I'd rather see the vols win than think about my hearing when I'm 60.," said McLean Long, a UT student who works on the field during gamedays.

Tell them to start selling earplugs or ear protection, that'll just be another revenue generator!
It is LOUD at Neyland but damaging to your ears seems a bit extreme. The loud music high schools & colleges play before the game is louder and much more damaging (not to mention annoying and unnecessary!) There is nothing like a loud Neyland Stadium & I do my part...screaming, clapping and stomping in the upper deck. It was funny to see the little sissy bama fan had to cover her ears. I've been to Bbam & Tuscalooser & when people call them loud and intimidating I laugh. Bama is silent compared to Neyland. Fla is loud & A&M was loud but not Neyland loud. We as Vol fans should be proud of this!

Ask Chiefs fans if they gaf. Arrowhead is no joke loud. It's a badge of honor to be the loudest venue in the NFL.
