NIL : The discussion continues...

NIL is separate and apart from the Athletic Departments at the schools. The school doesn't offer it.
Not really true. You have to separate NIL into two different categories: NIL Collective and Individual NIL. Collective money (like SCar pays all wbb players 25k each) is part of the school. Oh, it might have a nominal head that is not officially an AD employee, but its expenditure is overseen by the school.

Individual NIL deals are contracted agreements between the players and a third party like Bose or a shoe company or advertisers on a player's website.. No, the AD is not a party to the agreement and the money never passes through its hands. However, the school can provide an advisor who helps player find NIL deals.

All the rich dudes who put up money for NIL should instead start a fund that can be used to help defray the college
costs of regular students. The student-athletes are already getting a major monetary benefit and certainly don't need more.

Maybe many are doing both. As a donor to BHC and Vol club, I also donate directly to the college of arts and sciences and big orange pantry. Don't assume that those who give to NIL, don't also help others.

Maybe you ought to stop spending other people's money like a 4th term congressman
