Since 2021 season (2022 draft), Heupel’s first year, Tennessee has had 17 total players drafted. Many were transfers (Jones, Hooker, Milton, Hadden, Lott, etc). 2 players ( Pearce& Wright) were a first rounders.

In comparison, Georgia has had 47 drafted. many first rounders. Very few were transfers.

The talent difference that existed when JH took over would make you almost believe these two weren’t even in the same conference.

It’s amazing. And they had 2nd stringers drafted or now playing in the NFL. They still have more talent than TN. Their defense is quick and athletic.

TN receivers must get separation, esp. in 2nd half as UGA held us to 7 points the last three years after the half and 7 past thee yrs.

Yeah, 24/7 if correct has UGA as number 1 talent overall with 70 4/5 star players and UT at #16 with 47. Imagine when Heupel gets that kind of depth with experience to work with.

Well the good news is we have enough to complete a 2 deep now. Then the matchups come into play. Is their big star QB REALLY that much better than our 0 star QB?

How many over rated vs how many under rated on each roster? The draft proves that is real every year. Highly efficient HS 3 stars can be your friend. That development cycle can be hard to project. Our transfer hit rate helps us too.

Guess I will just have to watch and hope.
