Has anyone else noticed how Tennessee fans got blasted by the national media, both in the sports media and the news media, because we didn't want Schiano due to unproven allegations that he was aware of child molestation, same national media is praising voters in Alabama because they didn't elect Roy Moore due to unproven allegations of sexual harassment?

Thoughts?

Don't want to discuss who did or didn't do something or who knew or didn't know something, how do you feel about the apparent hypocrisy of the national media?

In the election, you have 2 sides opposed from the get go. It's sop to have dirt brought up on each candidate about their past.

The coaching hire was the decision of 1 person (Currie) and hid immediate bosses above him, but it was mainly Curries decision.

We as a fanbase aren't supposed to have a say. That's what had everyone so riled up. We didn't toe the line, just accept whoever Currie thought was good enough to lead our football team. It didn't matter that he had never won consistently anywhere as a head coach. That he has the personality of a schitzo Tasmanian devil. Or that he was named to have first hand knowledge of the Sandusky incident. We were just supposed to accept it. And we didn't.

The establishment does not like being shown up.

Edit - and it makes us an easy target for ratings. Those that do not know about the Haslams and the last 10 years think we are just crazy. It is click bait journalism at its finest because it's different and the situation is misunderstood by 95% of the ones giving an opinion. Just read what they write about it.

In today's world mainstream media is ALL about getting attention, not presenting an objective review of the world. Early last century it was called 'yellow journalism'...now it's called "news".

Living a good life and prospering is the best remedy/revenge.

Good morning all. Here's a quick update on recruiting this morning.
- TN WR Alontae Taylor has recommitted this morning
- D4H trolling - I wish ignoring someone also hid all the posts quoting the ignoree
- Weekend Visitor Thread - Weekend Visitor List 12/16
- WR Van Jefferson a possible transfer option from Ole Miss
- Look to be in a good spot with TN RB Jeremy Banks and TN OL Jerome Carvin
- A lot of new 2019 offers going out
- Sources say that quarterback Adrian Martinez reopened his recruitment last night

I just came home from a meeting with my daughter’s kindergarten teacher, counselor, and principal. I guess her tablemate at school today refused to let her sit down at her assigned seat and before the teacher could make it over to them, the other girl took her book bag with a metal water bottle on the side and whacked her in the face with it. I think she’s ok, but I’m taking her to the doctor to check. Kids are so mean. So so mean. The worst part is the other girl is our neighbor.

It’s been a heck of a morning.

Some of the best lessons I ever learned were on the knuckles of some other person's fist and some of the sweetest vindications I ever claimed were on my own. I worry that we are raising a generation of wussies.
