Youre right....I see that here and in Tennessee. I went to ETSU and my husband is from Alaska. Hes very new to the College football scene. But he married into it lol. Its been tough to explain to him that a lot of Tennessee fans didnt go to UT. Puzzles the hell outta him.
Hey I'm all vol! I actually made a coach gruden profile in 2012, but couldn't remember the log in info :dunno:
I'm a '89 ETSU grad. also. My wife is from Wisconsin, she gets it though. Cheese Heads are as fanatic as SEC fans.
I don't process shock, disappointment, anger, and sadness as well as many of you do. I'm legitimately impressed. I'm just hoping apathy will hurry and set in.
We were there at ETSU around the same time! Yeah, Wisconsin cheeseheads are rabid. Ive got a friend from there and shes nuts lol. Glad your wife gets it. Mr. Mink is getting it more now that were back in the south. Hes even been reading up on the hire. So proud of him.

Good morning, everyone. Glad to have a new home for this wonderful community, and Neyland is a great name for it.
It appears we're about to have a new head coach. He's not a household name, at least not yet. He's not a "splash" hire. He's not an offensive genius. He's not a Vol for Life. In fact, he has exactly zero days of previous UT affiliation.
Got it.
So here's what I'm gonna do, the minute he is formally announced as our head coach: I'm gonna back him. 100%. He will be wearing orange, and trying to win championships while coaching our lads.
That's good enough for me. He has my full support.
We still have a few hours to get our thoughts out before that switch gets thrown, so I will totally understand if people use the time to air their frustrations with things that weren't, or might have been.
At the end of the day, though, you fight the battle you find yourself in, not the one you wish you had.
If you can't, you go find some other team to support, or give up football altogether. I understand. I don't agree, but do understand.
For me, I'm all Vol. For life. Hoping for great things with Coach Pruitt.
Go Vols!
