Next gen console power (PS5 and Xbox Series X)

I’m guessing only a small percentage of gamers play those obscure exclusives. Most will play your cross platform titles. The only exclusive Sony has that anyone cared about was the Show and that is coming to an end.

Lol more than half of the PS4's top 20 selling games are exclusives. The number goes up if you count games that were originally exclusive and are coming to PC, like Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stranding, and Detroit Become Human.

Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted and God of War were all phenomenal games.

Uhhh...god of war? The most recent one is one of the greatest games of all time. Your post is mind boggling 😂
Also, the last of us, the uncharted series, Spider-Man, and bloodborne.

Here is a recent video where a game developer responds to the Mark Cerny PS5 Dev Conference. This is only part 1 of his observations, but he is impressed with what Cerny is saying. Found it interesting to hear his thoughts on what Sony is aiming to do and the obstacles developers face when designing games.

LOL right? I know tastes vary but when I hear someone say something like "PlayStation offers NOTHING I would want to play" I do sort of raise an eyebrow because my first thought is, well how many of those games have you actually bothered to try? Also, I think that's an awfully convenient and copout answer, when the truth is they're probably afraid to try out the library because they're afraid they might actually like it. I have a very good friend who is exactly like this. He's an Xbox fanatic and he bought a PS4 at the beginning of the generation. The console literally sat and collected dust under his TV and he never bothered turning it on. He eventually traded it in, citing that it never had anything he wanted to play. Yet he never even bothered TRYING anything. Reinforcing his love for Xbox was more important to him than playing great games. I don't get it. I simply don't get that attitude at all. At least when I had my X1 I actually played it (I eventually sold it to buy a turntable)! I played Titanfall, I played Halo MCC, I played Ryse Son of Rome, I played Forza, I played Ori, I played Killer Instinct, etc. The game support at the beginning of the X1's life was great! But it suddenly petered out and nothing compelling was coming to the platform anymore. Will I get an Series X? Possibly, but I want to see the game support first. I want to see what these new studios they acquired offer. Are they going to put out great AAA games or are they going to produce a bunch of A and AA Game Pass fodder? I'm looking forward to seeing what happens!

To me Xbox Series X has nothing to draw me away from the PS5 atm. Absolutely nothing.
I'm going to wait until we see some games from them to make s final decision. But Microsoft is going to have to really show me something in the software department.

What pc is going to have the specs of the new consoles for less that $500 bucks?

With where I'm at, my 7-year-old PC will do just fine at 30 fps 4K. But, what my post was getting at is that the only reason to buy a One X over a PS5 are the exclusives. And right now the only exclusive even worth mentioning (that we know of and that I can think of) is Halo Infinite. If they are going to make that game for PC then there is no reason to buy a One X at launch. Just spend the money on buying the game. A lot cheaper.

There's no guarantee that Halo will be worth a damn either. Game has been stale for years.

PS5 at launch no question. XSX "probably" down the road. MS has to show me something in terms of real game support before I buy into that ecosystem again and it's going to take more than Halo. They practically took an entire generation off from providing a lot of great AAA 1st party games. That doesn't earn them "day one" status from me.

Reach is by far my favorite. Great game and story. 10/10 would buy again. I hope they re-master it.

I agree 100%. Reach was the last one that grabbed me as well. Ironically that was the last version of Halo that was developed by Bungie. Ever since then it's been handled by a cover band.

Pretty sure Infinite is going to be my last Halo game (unless something major happens and then I will consider). I just want to finish the current storyline. Halo no longer draws me like it used to which is most likely due to the reason you posted. And I don't play online multiplayer anymore. Haven't for years and that seems to be the biggest thing anymore for shooter games. I will say I enjoy Breakpoint because I play as a fire team with my buddy. I enjoy that, but not 4v4 or whatever.
