Iol. I didn't back out, bro. I just didn't have an extra one like I thought I might. Freak Jr. decided he wanted in on the ps5 action after all. :)

Speaking of ps5: I had a call of duty update yesterday and I see they're doing the same "copying" nonsense. The update downloaded in a flash but the copying part still took a while. Sigh.

Very interesting (and surprising) results from multiplat games so far running on PS5/XSX...



Assassins Creed Valhalla makes the 3rd multiplat game that Digital Foundry has tested where performance has favored the PS5, along with Dirt 5 and Devil May Cry 5. Looks like that extra 1.7 teraflops isn't doing Xbox a damn bit of good thus far.

I think AC looks like garbage compared to last gen. I don't understand how it can look worse with better hardware. It looks like the dev pushed this game out before it was ready.

Anyone have a series X for sale? All of my buddies got one except for 1 and its hell trying to get one before the bots do. We've all been trying to get one for him. I'm about 100 miles from Knoxville, willing to pay a little extra.

It wouldn’t let me add it for a couple minutes. Then it added it to cart and I got the OH DEER! once trying to checkout then clicked on a different tab and went back to my cart to finish. The digital version never came up that I saw. Hopefully it doesn’t get cancelled or anything but I won’t be surprised if it does. I stopped by GameStop earlier to see if they knew how many they were gonna get Friday but he didn’t know for sure (at least 2). I asked if they were gonna put a sign up on the door like they usually do showing how many they would actually have before Friday so people didn’t show up early and wait for nothing. He said yes it would probably be tonight since they’re closed tomorrow and then he paused and said he didn’t know when it would go up. I’m sure they know what they’re gonna have now since they most likely won’t get any shipments before Friday at 7 am.

One of them refreshed one last time at 9:20 and it was sitting in there. He is pumped to have gotten one.

Finally opened my PS5. Makes no difference at the end of the day, but the console is even more hideous in person.

So quiet. Love it.
