Freak, it doesn’t remember me; I have to log in each time. I have the box checked. Is it my iPad or a glitch?

Are you still visiting the test site? Log out and or delete your temp files. It has to do with logging into both sites, I’m pretty sure.

Good. It shouldn’t be logging you out here. Maybe clear your temp files. The only people I’ve seen getting logged out were our “lab rats” as someone named them. Lol

OK. I deleted the bookmark on my iPad just in case it was doing something weird in the background. I cleared the cache yesterday and went through FB h#// over it. I was on the test site for a while when you were working before the upgrade if that could have any effect on anything. Even signing in each time, it’s really nice👍.

Otherwise here's a collection of Frequently asked questions:
  • Posts per page are fixed at 25
  • Tapatalk isn’t currently supported. It hasn’t been totally ruled out but there are no current plans to enable it
  • The attached photo button is only for photo uploads from your computer or mobile. Otherwise, use the picture icon to upload or paste a link to a picture. It will be full size.
  • Desktop and mobile are the same now. The website automatically scales to the device you’re using
  • Additional themes will be coming in the future. Will have an orange version and a Rock Gray version also
  • The old tweets will have to be reformatted. It will probably be a bit before Freak gets to that though
  • No more thread size limits
  • Freak definitely plans to have an app of some sort at some point
  • First unread post not working? All posts copied over were marked as unread so it’s starting at post number one. Mark the thread or forum as read and it’ll work after that
  • Pro sports forums may change format. Freak is still thinking about it
  • How do I find a thread I started or a post I made? Click on your avatar icon at the top right and clIck “your content.” Or go to the menu and I think you can click on just your threads. Also, make sure you've watched the thread and you'll get an alert every time someone posts in it. For posts, hopefully the person will @ you to trigger an alert
  • Clear your alerts by clicking once on the bell in the top right. You can also go into your profile and turn off the ones you don’t want
  • Is there some kind of filter on the ‘what’s new’? I don’t see any threads from the politics forum when I click on it. Freak has left out politics for now. He plans to add an option that will allow folks to either opt-in or opt-out of viewing posts from that forum
  • Do we still have the "My Posts" feature? Click on your avatar icon at the top right and select user content
  • Is anyone else having trouble searching? Freak hasn't rebuilt the old search index yet. It takes a loooong time. You should be able to search posts since the move, though.
  • To follow someone on desktop, hover over their avi and click the follow button in the popup. On mobile you have to tap on their name or avi to bring up the popup.
  • Changing your avatar/avi? Click the current avatar at the top of the page and hover over the picture, there should be an “edit avatar” link. When you click that you can upload a picture.
  • Click on the box that displays the page numbers (2 of 2) and go to any page
  • Ctrl + Enter works to execute your post
  • On mobile to go to a specific page, click on the box at the top and bottom that has the page numbers (i.e. 14 of 14)
  • Is there a way to ignore threads on this new forum? There is not.
  • To change your user title. Click on your avatar in the upper right corner next to the inbox and alerts. Go to account details and look for custom title

I've noticed too that every thread has a thumbnail of the thread starter's avatar, and a smaller thumbnail of my avatar right next to it on threads that I've posted in.

Depends. If you have already read all the posts then it'll still take you to the beginning. If you haven't and you want to read the new posts, it'll take you to the new post.

I think if you don't mark them read it'll always take you to the beginning.


Edit: that makes sense in my head but reading it aloud it doesn't sound like it makes sense.

If the thread title is bolded there are unread posts and it should go to the last post. Otherwise it'll go to the first post. The problem is that any thread updated during the conversion, all the posts are marked as unread so it's going to the first post. Mark them all as read and it should work correctly from then on.

For example when I click on this thread it always goes to Freaks initial post. It never goes to the second or third page?

Mark it read and try again. Also if you click on the "posted 3 minutes ago" or whatever it says under the thread title, it'll take you to the last post.

If there are unread posts it should be going to the page of the unread post. Maybe tag Freak to take a look?

I am having that issue. Not sure how to "mark everything read" though... any hints on that? Does it have to be done thread by thread or is there a higher level to it?
