I HOPE JG has the kind of year that would compel him to test the NFL waters! But I don't see it happening.

I have to agree with BV, if he considers going pro then he will need to put a strong season on tape to have a discussion. Which will be good for us. Otherwise he will be a project, and at best a late round draft pick.

It doesn't matter...
And neither does your opinion, Butchna.

Just remember to give me my "props" when mine becomes validated.

Understand? Don't misdirect like you so often do... Don't be a chump.
If Maurer’s the starter and Bailey never enroll because of it? All the creds and I’ll own my wrong. Expect you to win the crow eating competition tho...and change your screen name to ChumpVol. 😎

Can someone start a thread debating if and when the NCAA will give him a waiver to play this year.......and other relevant political discussions??? “Blue font”

It would be too late for Bailey to get a waiver...since he started his high school season.

I guess this is about a good a thread as any.

I want/wish JG to develop into more of a scrambling qb. With the right training and coaching, he could develop that into his game more. Maybe that’s what they are doing, I honestly have no idea.

I get the whole pro style NFL qb pass before scramble mentality (and they trying to get JG drafted) but in college football.. let me repeat IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL, look at the correlation of qbs who can make things happen on their feet and championship rates. Outliers are there, but for the most part, I want a qb who can scramble and avoid pressure.

I’m sure he can’t flat out throw it, just not to anyone so they can catch it. Completed 49% of his passes last year.
KB you’re doing the same hit job on this kid that the JG detractors are doing to him. Hill is better than that.

I like the move it’s a zero risk pickup of a proven starting QB with real game experience to add depth. He needs a full year of rehab and Fitz’ S&C then we’ll see where he is next year. Could take pressure off Bailey to compete right away, maybe even allow him to RS. Also allows us to not waste a spot recruiting another ‘20 QB.

You honestly see little potential here under the terms of this deal? If so SMH

Bailey is starting from day one next season
Some of you guys are putting WAYYY too much faith into a qb that has a lot of the same issues most freshman do, on top of being at least a year behind the others and a lack of mobility. Is it possible? Yes..... but highly unlikely.

I think HB is the backup to JG his 1st year and definitely our starting QB his 2nd year on campus. He's the best QB prospect we will have signed since Peyton and while prospects often fail not many with his HS numbers, arm talent, size and leadership fail. If JG was not here I think he'd be a day 1 starter. I expect 1, if not both of our current backups will transfer out next season.
