I do wonder if this will cause Bailey to reopen his recruitment though. Hopefully the kid is not afraid of competition. Regardless, we should expect one of our QBs to test the transfer portal waters unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong though.

I'd be shocked if it impacted Bailey's decision. Hill's a good add for the same reason Chryst was last year: depth. But it's not like we just added Trevor Lawrence to the roster. Completely plausible that Maurer, Bailey, and / or Shrout end up ahead of Hill on the depth chart.

Not unless JG goes to the NFL or gets injured.

Even Peyton Manning started out as a 3rd string QB in his Freshman year; he moved to 1st string only after injuries to Helton and Colquitt. I don't see anyone beating out JG next season if he returns.
