New QB Transfer, Kasim Hill

Well, Well, McDaniel and Hill playing at St. John's and Jarrett on our radar has to help with his case to come here. Pruitt must really want Jarrett. With Tee and Nieds, and himself (All Recruiters of the Year), we may just win his signature.
Yep. I believe McDaniel and Jarrett were freshmen when Kasim was a senior at St Johns

Harrison Bailey just tweeted “didn’t see that coming. Now I have to rethink things. Feeling betrayed!” Uh oh......

Just playing! Relax. But there will be those freaking out!
Lol, no one has responded cause they stopped reading at "didn't see that coming"... They're composing letters .

Came from Maryland, will sit out next year. Another indication that JG could go pro and we need depth.

Tennessee adds former Top247 QB Kasim Hill to roster
via Sports News

The idea that JG would declare for the NFL draft at the end of this season is laughable given his current body of work unless there are concerns he could be academically ineligible (and I doubt that). He would have to SERIOUSLY upgrade his on-field performance this year in order to make a rational decision to declare. The more logical explanation for this transfer QB is that Pruitt said we needed 2 QB's in this class for depth purposes. We have Bailey, but appear to have lost King. Hence the transfer.

Thanks, Mel.

This is a no-cost addition. it's not like Pruitt is sticking his neck out on this one

I think the implication is that JG will definitely upgrade his performance

I do wonder if this will cause Bailey to reopen his recruitment though. Hopefully the kid is not afraid of competition. Regardless, we should expect one of our QBs to test the transfer portal waters unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong though.

I believe Harrison Bailey doesn't shy away from anything. The kid is all Vol plus extremely talented. He knows what's up. I'm hoping he's our next Manning.

He will have two seasons of eligibility left, possibly three, according to ESPN.

This shouldn't deter Shrout, Maurer or Bailey. We just need a better option next year than hoping JG comes back, or starting a Redshirt Sophomore or Redshirt Freshman or True Freshman.

There's some talent here. I think this is a solid move. I like this kid more than I liked Chryst. Good pick up.
