New QB being Installed During Offweek

How on earth have other teams been able to do it?

So now Rona is the excuse!
LAME!

How many other teams participated in the utterly ridiculous contact tracing? I remember hearing that Morris was in quarantine 3 different times even though he never tested positive. Wright was in quarantine multiple times. Those arent excuses. But you have to admit that it had an impact.

For those digital warriors out there who don’t understand the actual schedule and challenges Tennessee has had please read

1. Due to COVID, NO backup QB has been developed due to MANDATED quarantine from contact tracing. Blame Trump, Blame Biden, Blame China, Blame whoever. You can’t train a backup in 4 practices.

2. Our QB issue is about AWARENESS and the offense. Our mistakes are due to bad decision making. A QB questioning himself.

3. Chaneys offense DEPENDS on a QB who can AUDIBLE and make MULTIPLE reads. Maybe a young gun can do this, however, you need PRACTICE to have a playbook deeper than your wristband.

I GUARANTEE QB change happening for Arkansas UNLESS COVID/HEALTH issues.

BOOK IT

Thanks, Rudy...

CFB is about talent. Saban and Dabo dont know more about football than other people, they just walk on the field with superior talent.

Pruiit hasnt really done a great job of recruiting and for that reason he walks on the field with average talent and gets his doors blown off.
KY and GASt obviously had superior talent

That would be a great excuse if this was year 1 and we didn’t have 3 of the same guys on the roster for the 2nd year in a row and non of them can run it still. Covid has nothing to do with our team being unprepared on both sides of the ball and no gameplan whatsoever to win a game.

Most every team has dealt with covid. Lsu freshman qb doing very well. With 9:45 remaining in 4th qtr. lsu 52 sc. 17.. The same sc we played earlier, and this is with a freshman qb. They somehow found time to work with him. to get him ready. This is with 9:44 to go in the 4th, and yes he threw an int.

There is no way any team could beat bama with the game plan we came in with, conservative game plan. You gona stay with bama you gona have to score about 50 points, and no team can do that with a conservative offensive game plan.

Maybe they can tie Covid to the Ga St loss as well?

They all go hand in hand.....

Im sure Maurer and Bailey will get more reps than usual for sure but JG will start vs Arkansas. Don't kid yourself. Though he has to play decent games he rest of the season. I assume he finally on his last straw. Lmao.

No doubt that had an impact.

However I’m fairly confident that at least “some” teams felt that impact just as hard.

If only we had a QB who was in this system and played last year.

This is what I don’t understand about why Shrout & Maurer aren’t more prepared to compete for playing time. They’ve been in the system, they know the coordinator and what he wants. So, how can they not even know who to send in motion on a play or be ready to get in the game?

Also, why not put Maurer in when the game was already decided but with 9 or so minutes on the clock, so he can get some actual game experience this year? Why wait until the last 2 minutes? I just feel like we aren’t trying very hard to prepare for the next step or give the backups quality playing time.

It’s almost like he’s afraid Maurer is gonna make a play, why not throw it on 4th and 2 and try to score?

Coaches do not want to scare away Bailey and Salter.
Shrout and Maurer will never get playing time unless JG goes down.
I was surprised that one or both did not transfer after last year.

IMO...

Obviously we have no shot at the East so it's time to turn this season into an instructional one. Pruitt is not going to be fired this year no matter what. So, he needs to start letting the youngins play. That way they get developed and some actual depth may be built. If Pruitt at least gives the impression he's looking to the future, I believe he would get a little more slack from the fanbase.
