suggestions?
I through out Chris Klenakis' name last night (formerly at Nevada, currently at Arkansas).
Bottom line, Chaney's play calling has been a problem all year.
The players are having trouble just getting into the right formations without having illegal motion penalties, or too many men in the back field.
There is a reason why Kiffin didn't want to take him out west last year, and its become perfectly obvious.
He skated by on Joe Tiller's shirt tails for years at Purdue.. fortunate enough to have a future NFL hall of famer at QB in Drew Brees, and another good one in Kyle Orton.
When it went sour in West Lafayette, he took off to the Rams to coach OL, and I think anyone who followed the NFL the last half dozen years could tell you how well that worked out. Marc Bulger was one of most sacked QBs in the history of the NFL. I'm sure he'd be willing to testify. The Rams offense was one of, if not the, worst in the league for multiple seasons.
We have a young innovative D Coordinator in Wilcox that at least has shown that he can make adjustments during games.
Its time to bring in new blood so that we have the equivalent on offense going forward so that when 2012 gets here our offense will be in rhythm... rather than suffering through another disastrous offensive season and then trying to fix it is Spring 2012 when the team should be by all accounts, much more talented.
After this season, take our medicine and bring in a new offensive system. Learn it all through spring, practice next fall during what will undoubtedly be another rebuilding season. And then have another spring in 2012 to perfect it. By fall 2012 it will be ready to rock.
So who are some good offensive coordinator prospects?
