What's up Goat? Been wondering where you been. :hi: Looks like I was right about our ginormous penishead fanbase. I told you after Butch was hired that our super stupid ignorant fans would give him no time. I don't think we will ever come back now. Tennessee is going to have the reputation of being a graveyard for promising careers. I hope Butch gets it done, but our negative ninnies are going to destroy his recruiting I think. I mean next year is going to possibly be worse than this. I hope I am wrong, but it seems like lately that every assessment I make is coming true. :ermm: I wish things were different, but just have a bad feeling that we are done as a big time program.

Luckily, the loud idiot portion of our fan base will have no bearing on butch's timetable for bringing this team back. Like him or not they are stuck with him, and I have complete faith that given two-three years, he will have us back. No doubt about it.

This is a post I made earlier this week. It pretty much sums up my feelings about our current state. I think Butch is a good coach, and like I say here it is irrelevant at this point whether he is a good strategic coach. Anyway my main concern is this...I know that Butch is going to get 3-4 years whether the morons like it or not....But I think that there are so many loudmouth morons that create such a negative perception of the program. I think that will/may put a massive drag on Butches recruiting. That will be his true test this year. Not how many games we win, but how well he holds this class together. For us to be resurrected, we have got to get playmakers, and speed back in the program. Lets hope he is up to the task, he sure doesn't seem like a loser to me.

One thing I've noticed is he is charismatic. He talks and people listen. So when it comes to recruiting, I think he'll be able to talk a great game and keep at least a top 15 class, maybe even top 10. When he talks, he sounds like a coach that's ready to break out and become the next championship program.

I can see some of the loudmouth moron Richard heads mucking up a couple of the recruits, but certainly not all of them. I think even with our schedule this year, he'll still get a good class to come in. These things are cyclic. Every program has it's good years and it's bad years. And eventually a coach comes along that starts getting in great recruits and molds them into his own form. He seems like the kind of coach that can do that and be fundamentally sound which is the key to making a good football team. I don't see a lot of trick plays in our future, but I do see a team that will be solid in marching down a field and scoring a year or two.

Whether or not we win another national championship is unknown. The competition is just too tough. But I can see us challenging for the SEC in a couple of years. And who know, we might just go all the way.

Butch is doing all the right things needed in the order they need to be done. We'll be back soon....maybe not instantly like the cry babies want...but soon...

He's in less then one year gotten this team to show more discipline then we have seen in more then a decade.

He's been an EXCELLENT recruiter, and he talks the talk, and has the Charisma young guys want to hear.

He has shown at other schools he plays the fast paced sort of offense that clearly seems to be the future in NCAA football....and is implementing it now rather then wait until he has the matching players.....I actually like that. He has a longer range vision then just this week or year. He's got a plan and he's sticking to it....doubters be damned. He's putting his system in place.

The good thing perhaps now about the negative ninnies, is we're far to broke to do much more in the way of experimentation......so I think he gets 4-6 years.

This guy is the anti-scandal coach. (hope I don't regret that statement) Seriously though, he's just very much a straight up what you see is what you get guy. I don't see him fing around with the rules or risking the program for a short term gain.....the same type A personality that makes him great at discipline, I think equals a very clean program....

We may need to add some additional assistant coaches....I know his entourage is his family, but I am hoping he's willing to add to that family as opportunity and budget allows.

We are on the right path, everything I see shows me that......whiners gotta whine though...

I am a Volnation Butterfly.....besides this was the best hideout during Gruden madness.....figured it may be a good safe haven during the Panic of "OH DEAR GOD WE'RE HAVING EXACTLY THE SEASON PREDICTED AND THINGS DID NOT BECOME MAGICALLY DELICIOUS WITH A NEW COACH!" madness.

Glad for him, not glad for the Titans.....I have my Titans Jersies, hats etc in a box where they will stay until Bud sells or Dies.....I prefer the latter....we'll see.

(Still Bitter over McNair, and Fisher's treatment. )
