New HC in Place Next Week

Because i'm not willing to spend anymore money on UT so that they can experiment with fans money.

So unless it Gruden you are done with UT football lol, prolly better off without you in that case!

What if it was like urban Meyer, not Gruden... still done?

Some of you need to actually read the the account with Schiano just not react to the headline.

But for you simpleton's

The account was Schiano saw something that turned him white.

There is nothing about what he did or didn't do after. There are other accounts of other coaches seeing things and going to administration & other coaches and it was swept under the rug.

We do not know what Schiano did or didn't do. He has denied the report from 20+ years ago.

USC, Oregon, Michigan all wanted him as their HC after interviewing him and others on this.

No it didn't say that at all.....

So clearly you didn't read what the Schiano reference was....

You just proved you haven't read it.

“I can’t remember if it was one night or one morning,” McQueary testified, “but that Greg had come into (Bradley’s) office white as a ghost and said he just saw (Sandusky) doing something to a boy in the shower.”

I read it, bud.

You campaign for this man all you want. He may be innocent for all I know. But, there is also a real possibility he knew what happened and did nothing about it. You willing to take that chance?

Edit: can't wait to hear your response...

Oh, I did. Did you? It says he encountered Sandusky raping a boy, long before Sandusky was outed.

I just read it too, and Thank you for bringing it to my attention. And I feel any coach who witnessed what Sandusky was doing and didn't have the balls to intervene by stomping a mudhole in his ass right then and there is not the kind of man I want associated with the Vols in any capacity whatsoever. End of story.

Schiano should fall below even Kiffin. We don't need cowards like that around our program.

1. He has denied this story

2. Let's just say he did see we don't know what he did or didn't do. He could have told someone and told they were going to take care of it?

This came out on several people during the investigation people knew told their bosses and authorities and it was covered up

There is also a real possibility that the written statement got Schiano confused with another coach.

This was a recount in a written statement on something that happened 20+ years before

Gruden is more of an experiment than many, if not most.

Just get to the truth, you don’t have the funds to donate and are using this as a guise...assuming you actually donate now.

You're welcome. There are too many good options out there to get involved with this guy. The whole situation makes me sick.

I can't believe it's Gruden without leaks this late in the game regarding lining up staff, so I'm leaning towards a present coach that would bring most or all of their staff. Frost or Mullen has to be the top dogs right now.

Quit praying on children to sling mud on an issue that you know nothing personally about. Classless

Let people do their jobs and figure that out. Not just one person telling you the gospel. You might want to read the whole account too.

Not just sling mud and use children as a heart stings pull statement

and do you have scripture to back that up?

I love how posters state 'if X coach is hired, I'm done with Tennessee'. This officially fits in the bandwagon fan category. I'll never be done with Tennessee. I bleed Orange. It's a bit 'drama queen'ish' and annoying that 1/2 the fan base will be crying on here regardless of which coach is hired.

Not at all. Some people actually care about integrity more than winning football games, and have no desire to be associated with anyone who tarnishes that integrity.

Me too. And I don't care how you justify it or how many people think he did what he could. Did he stay at Penn State and continue to work with Sandusky? Did he say, "Yes sir." to the administrators who were sweeping it under the rug told him to keep quiet?

Everyone in that situation was Sandusky's enablers. And I don't care if USC, Oregon, Michigan and Ohio State bought his story and wanted him on their staffs. They aren't Tennessee.

Everything I've heard was that it's frost and that the hire would be made before the SEC title game. No idea at this point with rumors circulating about Petersen through a lot of money guys. I love the idea of hiring Frost but damn if you can hire Petersen I would think you have to.

I’ll always be a fan. However if google coach x is hired I’m done with being involved. I’ll have games on in the background on Saturdays. Won’t go to any games, won’t plan my day around watching, and any and all support to the university will be over. It’s not worth my my time or resources to be in invested in this thing if the administration isn’t going to give a crap about the product.

They can count on my support once they take this seriously again. I suspect there are a lot of fans that feel this same way.

Hopefully it doesn’t come to that and they get it right this time.

I honestly believe gruden and JC haven't publicly denied the rumors is to allow our coaching search fly under the radar while they talk with other candidates.

I don't think it's gruden. I think Peterson, Patterson, and others are who they are targeting first. Then they will go to the next tier...Campbell, Norvell, frost, Mullen, strong, etc.

I think we end up with top tier but expect 2nd tier. I don't think we have to settle for someone we have never heard or ie Dooley and butch

I think, if we don't have a coach announced by next Monday, it will be a coach who will be coaching its' ccurrent team in a conference Championship Game...we'll see...Go VFL

Here's the thing- I'm a third generation alum of Tennessee, I've been in front of the TV or in Neyland watching games since I was two years old, and I couldn't imagine rooting for any other school.

HOWEVER, if my beloved university makes the decision to bring in anyone close to the horrible situation as it happened at Penn State- especially someone about whom it was testified under oath that he knew what was going on- I am done. Real life, and real people, mean more at the end of the day than sports.

How about some people have aspirations beyond 'just okay.' That is and always will be Tennessee's problem.

They serve up the worst possible product and people eat it up in droves.

So, enjoy your Coach Morris, your Coach Mullen, your Coach Schiano, your Coach XYZ.

Tennessee may be my alma mater, but I can find a more capable school and administration to throw my time and energy behind. You can have my seats.

I enjoyed your post but I enjoyed it less with crazy AJ looking at me.
