Because those guys, especially at Air Force are good coaches.
Guys, we all know how secretive MH is about this process. I think there's a good chance he's going after Patterson or Peterson as we speak. Remember no one thought we would hire Kiffin, and no one thought USC would hire Kiffin. This is a crazy process and none of us know what's really going on.
Pro OC not good enough? Got Wake freaking Forest to be a high octane offense not good enough? 9-3 at Air Force not good enough? Notre Dame had their guy targeted last year and everyone knew it. Texas Tech isn't as high profile a job, even now. Cincy is a big question mark.Forget it. You mean to tell me we are relegated to these options and that is what you are telling yourself? I don't care how good a coach you may possibly have potential to be at a service academy or low to mid tier program. Tennessee needs more than this. Much more.
If theses were such good coaches, why weren't they snatched up already by Notre Dame, Texas Tech, or Cincinnati? Exactly.
Thank you that someone is over the age of 15 in here and understands football!
here is the fact ladies and gentleman....
CUT ISINT THE SEXYIEST CHOICE..
BUT HE IS THE SMARTEST...
HE IS A COACH AND CAN GET US BACK TO THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS. IF WE HIRE GOOD RECRUITERS AROUND HIM THEM WE ARE SET, AND IM SURE CUT KNOWS RODNEY GARDNER;S TELLIPHONO NUMBER

I think Calhoun is a really good coach, and he runs the option at Air Force because of the talent he has. Guys don't go to Air Force to become football players. He does what gives his team the best chance to win, and you know, I'm good with that.
