Because those guys, especially at Air Force are good coaches.

Forget it. You mean to tell me we are relegated to these options and that is what you are telling yourself? I don't care how good a coach you may possibly have potential to be at a service academy or low to mid tier program. Tennessee needs more than this. Much more.

If theses were such good coaches, why weren't they snatched up already by Notre Dame, Texas Tech, or Cincinnati? Exactly.

None of us know what's going on. And you can't get doen on a coach before he's given a chance. Look at Auburn--everyone scofed when Chiznik was hired and I'd say they had a much much better year than xpected and things look good on the Plains. Let's start out supporting the new guy, whoever he is.

Guys, we all know how secretive MH is about this process. I think there's a good chance he's going after Patterson or Peterson as we speak. Remember no one thought we would hire Kiffin, and no one thought USC would hire Kiffin. This is a crazy process and none of us know what's really going on.

I would like to see Chris Petersen or Gary Patterson

they are both a big step up from Cutcliff, and steele and the airforce coach

True. Although I've changed my tune on WM. The mood has definitely has changed and it appears he really did turn down MH's offer. That's reason enough (the inability to close on his first choice--a good choice) for me to be done with MikeyH.

I understand about our out-of-state recruiting and the difficulty. But the UT job should be VERY appealing. Our Facility's are among the best in the Nation if not THE best (sure my perspective is a little biased) we have one of the most well known/largest stadiums in C football. RIGHT??? We have plenty of tradition, plenty of money.... How is this NOT A DREAM JOB?

Pro OC not good enough? Got Wake freaking Forest to be a high octane offense not good enough? 9-3 at Air Force not good enough? Notre Dame had their guy targeted last year and everyone knew it. Texas Tech isn't as high profile a job, even now. Cincy is a big question mark.
I think Calhoun is a really good coach, and he runs the option at Air Force because of the talent he has. Guys don't go to Air Force to become football players. He does what gives his team the best chance to win, and you know, I'm good with that.

Hamiltoe has to go and now! If we want to be big boys pay the damn money and lets get back to the elite level. I for one do not want Muschamp, my reasoning being if being a 15 year DC is where he is happy his goals are not high enough for TN. Get Stoops or someone who is a proven winner.

Thank you that someone is over the age of 15 in here and understands football!

here is the fact ladies and gentleman....

CUT ISINT THE SEXYIEST CHOICE..

BUT HE IS THE SMARTEST...

HE IS A COACH AND CAN GET US BACK TO THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS. IF WE HIRE GOOD RECRUITERS AROUND HIM THEM WE ARE SET, AND IM SURE CUT KNOWS RODNEY GARDNER;S TELLIPHONO NUMBER

good night tennessee football. is there still anybody that believes hamilton should not be fired as soon as he steps back on campus
Fired? If so, only because he didn't get rid of the guy who put the program in the toilet, PF, much sooner.

You're good with that? Then hold the door and exit with Hamilton.

Facts are facts. He is NOT a championship coach. Potential? Sure, maybe. But then again I have potential to steal Angelina away from Brad Pitt. Just too many question marks for this program to take a gamble. Hamilton got lucky with Pearl a few years ago and now he thinks he has the gift to find another diamond in the rough. This just isn't going to happen.

Calhoun has never won a conference championship, never been to a BCS bowl, never been in the top 10 in the polls, never put together a stellar recruiting class, cannot win bowl games,...shall I go on? At least when UF hire CUM, he had much more on his resume' eventhough he was still a dark horse/unknown hire.

Calhoun is no CUM. And he's no coach for this program.
