I like the pick up...here's a big reason why:
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker from Demopolis (Ala.) High School told the News Sentinel on Sunday he committed during his official visit this weekend after exploring Tennessees engineering school.
It was a really good school, said Jackson, who plans to major in electrical engineering in college.
Then there was UTs athletic department, which also won Jackson over.
The football program is real nice, Jackson said. Theres going to be real big changes coming.
Good to see someone wanting some academics, also!
He had only had offers from South Alabama, UAB and LaTech. He lives in a town about 40 miles from Tuscaloosa, but wasn't recruited by Bama. Maybe he will be great, but that should tell you something. If he was really that big of a catch, don't you think Bama or Auburn would have already had him by now..
