I don’t think the problem is coaching as much as it is the decisions by the Hamilton and previous ADs before Fulmer. I believe Kiffin, Dooley, and Butch were awful for UT each in their own way. Give Pruitt and Chaney 4 full years and then we can decide whether we want to start all over again. I watched the game again last night. Despite JG, stupid freshman penalties and mistakes, and playing #9 on their field, we played much better.

Played much better?

First Downs - Florida 25, Tennessee 12.
Total Yards - Florida 441, Tennessee 239
Tennessee averaged 3.3 yards per carry.
Lost 34-3

We played awful and the final score and stats reflect that.

That offense almost beat Michigan on the road this year and Oklahoma on the road last year. Beat Houston in a bowl game 70-14. Just imagine if he were to get 4 and 5 star recruits to come to a major program instead of the 2 star recruits he gets to come to Army.
Well unless it’s horseshoes or hand grenades, almost doesn’t matter.

Not many 4-5 stars are going to commit to play in an option offense.

It's bizarro world that anyone thinks we weren't dog crap in every aspect of the game except for kicking.

Kiffin is a worry not because he can't coach and get the job done. Would he stay this time. He was making progress here only went 7 and 6 but that team was not that talented. He is the only coach that played Bama toe to toe in since Fulmer. Of course we need to fire Fulmer to get him would not hire him even though he was a far better coach than Pruitt and would quickly change things if he got the job again.

And run what kind of offense?

You’ll get continuity. How long do you want this $hit show to continue?

As long as everyone realizes that bringing another coaching staff in means we struggle the first couple years. And when he does do we fire him as well?

Sounds kind of Fascist
Not fascist, just trying to head off the same lunacy as before. We literally had every person that had ever been associated with College football at any level and still had a pulse as a potential new HC.

I voted for Kiffin because I think he’s the only one who would possibly take the job, whereas we’d be disappointed and shoot ourself in the foot again with the other guys.

Without reading the thread, I am going to hope that the Kiffin idea gets no traction. Even the modicum of starpower and hype he brought to you the first go 'round would just not be present this time. Plus, it would reek of desperation to hire a guy that jilted you at the altar and was loathed here by so many for so long.

Translation: I'm scared to death you might get someone that can actually recruit, AND coach, and that our dominance will come to an end.

You have convinced me. By all means, re-hire Kiffin.

I get what your saying , but it appears Pruitt has no control and isn’t making strides. I don’t think we should start a search or anything , however I would call and beg Meyer to consider it , if we are unable to get a big name ,which we probably unable to get , we need to stick with Pruitt IMO.

Fair enough, but it’s highly unlikely we could do better unfortunately.

Matt Campell. Current coach of Iowa State.

named Campbell its head coach on November 29, 2015, his 36th birthday, replacing the fired Paul Rhoads. Campbell signed a six-year, $22.5 million extension with the school on November 27, 2017.[10] Campbell was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year twice.[11] In his second year, Campbell led Iowa State to wins such as #3 Oklahoma and #4 TCU. Iowa State won their bowl game that year against the Memphis Tigers in the Liberty Bowl. During his third year at Iowa State, he led the Cyclones to an 8-5 record. This included a 6-3 record in Big 12 play, their most conference wins in history. In 2018, Matt Campbell was reportedly requested an interview for the New York Jets NFL team, however, he declined the interview.

Other could mean anyone. It’d be nice to have a barometer of how many of our fans would prefer to stick with Pruitt specifically
That’s not what the poll is asking , if you’d like I could create a poll that asks do you want to stick with Pruitt or hire a new coach? However this poll is in a hypothetical world who would you want . I put Pruitt on there as a courtesy . Really doesn’t belong on this particular poll

I have a feeling if Meyer comes out of retirement again, it would be for USC or UCLA, not the septic leakage that we are at the moment.

Better than the last couple weeks. Pretty much every announcer, coach, etc., agrees with that assessment.
