New Anti Dooley Painting on rock....

The term Doolander - very clever and funny
The painting - very good
"Center for coaches who can't coach good" - meh

Could have done better on the punch line....but I like it.

I hear that Hansel's name is being kicked around as a replacement. FWIW. That would be HUGE on the recruiting trail. Hansel. He's so hot right now...Hansel.

Fairly impressive piece of art.

Stupid. We get it Dooley is gone. :horse:

Great news with all the unnecessary and embarrassing national exposure today. Glad some of you think that it is good publicity for the program. For UT. For the team. Great program support, da's.

What if Hart and boosters see this and start to understand "Man, the fan support for Dooley is gone. It's time to get things with Gruden."

It's highly unlikely, sure, but that would be pretty good for the program, no?

Look, I'm not advocating whether to have this stuff on a rock or not. It's kind of silly that A) People would do this and B) Some of the complete overreaction to it.

But, hey, don't have only 4 SEC wins in three years here and this isn't an issue.

Gameday was here a few weeks back. Program and University didn't seem to be humiliated. Having a chance to win the game against SC on national tv wasn't really humiliating. Our players response to Lattimore wasn't humiliating.

As far as the under the bus bs, you can whine about that like a baby till your face is blue. Coaches comment on players making mistakes and they also comment on players stepping up. That's how it is. It's a man's sport. Which is why so many of you boys don't know how to handle it.

If it is a man's sport why would rock painting matter. Sticks and stones? You are arguing that these are kids in one sentence and men in another. Which is it? Dooley is in the midst of the worst run in our history. Should the school destroy the rock and plaster Dooley's likeness all over campus like the students live in Baghdad or Soviet Moscow?

If our program won't be degraded for cheating or some other sick scandal , y'all make it happen by painting a rock. Get over it you people! There are kids futures at stake , not to mention future HCs, so what happened to sportsmanship? Having good sportsmanship goes as deep as us "the fans" to maintain it. As long as our players show it we should! Whoever can single handedly fix our program , go right ahead! If you think you can put together a 20+ personel staff that can run a college program , go ahead! Quit painting a damn rock and show us what you can do!

Like my dad always told me "this **** ain't easy!"
Do it for the players! Lets fill the stands, yell and holler and sing "Rocky Top" as our boys put it all on the field and hand out ass whippins!
If anyone who says they aren't buying season tix or never supporting the Vols, shove it up your already stretched out arse!

Let the coaches do their jobs! As long as its clean don't harrass them!
If you care about UT football then prove it!

Empty seats and painting rocks won't make things happen faster or turn out better.

When penn state went through what they did. Their fans stood together and filled the seats as they rebuild , why can't we come together for our team and support them, for cryin out loud its just a bad run!!
We don't have the death penalty!

GBO VOL FOR LIFE !!!

It's nice to see there is an emphasis on grammar here at UT.

"For coaches who can't coach GOOD"?!

How about, "For coaches who can't coach well"

Truly sad! What a display of idiocy!
Self pwnage at it's best.
Fail!

Artwork...Excellent.

Message...Childish.

Results...Recruits look less and less at Tennessee.

Image...Tennessee has lots of morons around.

This reflects very poorly for our school and our state so never be surprised that we're still considered a state of morons and inbred hillbillies.

Kids will always be kids and idiots will always be idiots.

VFL...GBO!!!

The rock will unfortunately carry things at times that will be revered by some and hated by others. It's a generational difference in opinion. The younger fans are not as 'diplomatic'. Dooley or any other coach knows that. If it wasn't the rock it would be on a message board or somewhere else seen by the masses. That's why we are called 'fans'...because we are 'FAN'atical. And this 'fan' base is tired of losing and not afraid to show it. GBO.

For all that are saying this is embarrassing, don't you guys get it? How much more losing and humiliation can you take??? 0-5 in the SEC for the 3rd straight year! An honor we now share with the mighty Wildcats of Kentucky!

I'm convinced that anyone who wants to see Doolander coach for next year is absolutely happy and contempt with the garbage results we've been getting under his stinking regime.

For those who painted the rock... Keep it up. You guys are the real fans who are trying to send a message to those who count.

The coach is not good and the team plays poorly so call the students hillbillies. Nice:eek:k:

Since you brought up Penn State, let me ask you this? Who inherited a worse mess, Dooley or O'Brien? Who put a proven winner on the field their first year in the midst of potentially the worst scandal in college football history? If Penn State's team was as bad as ours is, those fans would have shown up Game 1, but they wouldn't still be there this week I can assure you.

When this season started, I was thinking (and stating) well, it could be worse, we could be Penn State. Guess what, if things continue this way, in 5 years, Penn State will be competing for a National Championship and we will be competing with Kentucky for the basement in the East. Football is about winning. Three years in a row an 0-5 start in the SEC, our fans have every right to be disgruntled, and to express their first amendment right on rocks if they choose.

Criticism is a part of any job especially the high-profile ones. Dooley and any coach in the country is aware of it ---they've got to do their job regardless of the "haters"

My initial reaction was that it makes us look like fools to those outside the football community, as well as within it, and what I would think about my situation if I was a player and had a game tomorrow.
I don't think taking time to reason is overreaction.

You guys think I'm worried about hurting somebody's feelings.
It's a mess up there right now and we have games to play and players on scholarship to play them. This **** doesn't help. Period. Not an overreaction. Just a pointed fact.

Come on now. **** like this happens everywhere.

And yes we do. So is the life of the college athlete. Sadly, that's the culture it's become. It's also why you got to watch Troy and Tennessee, two losing teams, in HD. Some of its give and take sadly.
