I think blaming the lack of success on the stadium is misguided. It is fair to say that the level of fan support and energy hurts recruiting compared to South Carolina and the schools in the western part of the conference. The renovation they did a few years ago of the locker room, batting cages, media room, team room, etc are excellent. Vandy has a bizarre stadium, Florida, UGA (even with the improvements), Missouri and Kentucky are nothing to get excited about. It all comes down to recruiting and developing players, even more specific, pitching and pitching depth. I thought Serrano would get it going. It just has not happened. It is a bit more troubling when you look at the success in the minor leagues of some of the guys after they left the program. I hope they get it turned around this year, but watching them on TV, I will be very surprised.
