Neverending MBRO memory thread

Gotta do some chores and hit the gym. Just don't know which one first.

I wanna share what happened tonight. We hadn't told anyone about the mayo thing, except our parents and I shared with you all. Got to church tonight and the youth started singing, they always do Wednesday night choir. After that the pastor and his wife sang a couple of songs, then sang another called "I just held on". They get done, and he starts saying he thought he was gonna preach, but just feels something different. He called out my name and Tiffany's, and said we need to come forward. He said he felt like the church should pray for her, and me. So that was the service, everyone gathered around us at the altar and prayed. She wept so much, as did I. She never speaks during church, but after she said how much she needed that song and prayer. It's just amazing to me when God works and does something like that. I know some people have doubts about things, but I'm telling you, those moments are real. I mean how else but God could that happen exactly the way it did after we get sucky news today? He had no clue, but God did, and knew me and her both needed that. I've seen it happen many times over the years, and it still amazes me each time I experience something like that, whether it's us personally or not.

Afternoon everybody! Amazing message this morning. God's way vs our way.

Thought you might appreciate that post from MBRO.

I have really worked my chest the past 2 days. Gonna be sore!!

Legs are today, me and my daughter done squats yesterday evening.

My co-worker's husband found out last fall he has cancer. These are some of her postings since then:

In the last two weeks A has been going for testing due to severe pain that he has in his right side. We went back to the Oncologist for results yesterday and got the news that no one wants to hear "IT IS CANCER".
Don't think that we heard much that the Doctor had to say after that because we were in shock. How do you deal with that? So many questions that can't be answered yet because we are waiting on futher test results.

All we know at this point is that it is a Carcinoma and that it is inoperable and incurable. He goes back friday for a Pet Scan then back to the Dr the 28th. They are doing a genetics test from his biopsy to determine exactly what kind of cancer it is and what stage it is in, and then we will know if it is treatable or not. The results will be in on Nov. 5th. Until then we hope and we pray that it is treatable.
I am asking all of my friends and family to please uplift Arnold and our family in your daily prayers and put him on your prayer list at church. We are believing and asking for a miracle in Jesus name.

UPDATE ON A:
I apologize for not updating sooner.

A went back to the Oncologist the 28th. We seen the PET Scan results. "He has Liver Cancer". The cancer has metastasize. He has a large tumor on his Liver. He also has a tumor in a lymph node in his chest and a tumor in a lymph node behind his abdomen at his aorta.

We were told that this Cancer is treatable! He is going to be taking Lenvatinib which is a pill. This pill is supposed to be better than Chemo and radiation. He will be taking three pills a day that will hopefully shrink the three tumors. The medication will be here on Monday and he will start it on Tuesday. This medication has bad side effects, so he has to have someone with him at all times for two weeks to monitor him. He goes back to the Oncologist Nov. 11th. He will have a PET Scan every two months to make sure that this medication is shrinking the tumors. The next PET Scan is in December.
Please continue to keep him in your prayers that this medication will shrink the tumors with little or no side effects. Pray for our family as we all help him get thru this one day at a time.

(The Lenvatinib didn't work. They started A on a chemo pill.)

A is having his first scan this morning since he started Chemo pills to see if the Chemo is working. Will be seeing the Oncologist after his scan. Prayers are appreciated. Will update later.

UPDATE: The Chemo pills are not working. The Cancer is growing. He has taken him off the Chemo pills. A will be starting on 2 Autoimmune drugs by IV next friday the 3rd. Please keep the prayers coming. We sure can use them.

For everyone that doesn't believe in miracles.... My husband has recieved one today! HIS Tumors are almost gone. His AFP levels have decreased from nearly 800 to 4!!!! He has one small spot left in his liver but the ones on his aorta and spine have DISAPPEARED!!!!! His oncologist says that this is NOT a common occurrence. Only 20% of patients see these kinds of results with HCC. Thank you all for the PRAYERS and support while we endured these very difficult times for me and my girls, and of course, the love of my life. GOD is SO GOOD and we thank HIM and praise HIM for all he has done for us!!

What a great and uplifting story! Thank you for sharing.

The thing that has scared them to death is that the doctor's admitted they didn't know what would work because they hadn't seen that kind of liver cancer in patients before. He lost a ton of weight during this whole thing, and he was thin to begin with.

To get this new today is just blowing my mind.

That is awesome. Stories like this make my day.

Gonna be sore tomorrow, already am. Goid thing, legs aren't as sore doing squats now. I've added a little weight the past 2 times, and the soreness goes away quickly! They're getting stronger!
