Neverending MBRO memory thread

I like day dreaming about trips. I was keeping her awake talking about it, she finally told me to hush😂

Think about calling a cruiseline and describe the issues. They do have doctors on board (many of them very good; think about how fantastic working as a cruise doc would be), and if you stick to the Caribbean, a helicopter med-evac should be always available.

How long has it been since she’s had a medical crisis? And how long before that, and before that? In other words, is there a rhythm, a pattern, among her crises? And check out your insurance: what is your coverage for emergency medevac, especially out-of-country? And check for any limitations on pre-existing conditions.)

I would think that chillin’ on the deck of a cruise ship would be pretty dang special, but you two will have a better view of the practicalities.

The two of you are at the top of the list of “friends I will never see.” You are good peeps, and I hope to see everything go well for you!

my nephew is incredible smart, we saw that from an age, but wasn’t emotional connected to any of us. He wasn’t no where near “Rain Man” He could show his affection to his dad, but seemed out of sync with the rest of family. The only way I got to him, Watergate salad. He wandered into the kitchen, during one Christmas, and started watching me, at some point asked me “Aunt Jenny, you making that green stuff?” I didn’t know it was something he liked. He’s 25 now and still struggles.
Did he drive you crazy, explaining various WWII aircraft (especially those of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union) and their strengths and weaknesses, including the various engine and propeller configurations, and did he disassemble and reassemble (mostly) vacuum cleaners, or explain how orbits and launch windows worked for the space shuttle? đŸ€Ș

It was a long childhood with him. At one point I put a brown paper bag over his head to shut him up. I taught him to read when he turned five, using adult literacy books, as I couldn’t handle it any more.

He was and is obsessive about football, specifically Tom Brady and the Patriots, to the point that he takes it personally when he hears something negative about Tom Brady. Before that, it was Star Wars. Living and breathing anything to do with it.

Good idea! Hadn't thought about the helicopter thing. I need to look into the helicopter insurance my mom has. She pays like$20 a month for the evacuation service in KY, and it covers her, my dad, sister, and her kids. I don't think it'd work on a cruise, but you never know when you need it around here. Your post just reminded me.

It seems to be genetic, as it runs in families, and it has increased in the US population as one goofy nerd finds another goofy nerd and reproduces. Sheldon Cooper in “Big Bang Theory” is Aspie (very exaggerated). From a coldly pragmatic view, it would be useful to know more Aspies, as their brains work in unusual ways and could provide unique insights.

Feels like it is humanity correcting itself. That over the course of time it was the humans with a lack of empathy, among other abysmal traits, who continually reproduced until we had a shell of what a human should be.

All schools in East Tennesseee around Knoxville are closed for sickness. Damn Flu bug. We never got that growing up.
We rarely got out for anything. Surprisingly, we got 2 days off in HS because some scientist predicted a huge earthquake in the tristate area😄

If it hadn't been so warm yesterday this snow would be sticking better. Still trying to a little.
