Never ever happy on here

In theory, I completely agree about screens. It just seems like we've been hit or miss in executing them.

The two times we ran them against OU we managed to gain +10 yards both times........ Would have helped a little from them teeing off on our Qb like then and like today.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I saw us try to run it more than just twice against Oklahoma.

Lost yardage on first down hurt us during that stretch in the first half when our offense was completely ineffective.

Yep. It directly contributed to the eventual 3rd 6+ where they stacked the box, and pressured Worley relentlessly.

Agree our offensive play calling is severely influenced by our young offensive line

The fact that our OC is about as inept at calling a game than just about anyone in the country is reason to not be happy at all.

We scored 32 points on the road. Great play calling all day. The draw plays were brilliant. The two point call was great. The offense was absolutely phenomenal with Worley today.

Calling a run up the middle with an o-line that you know has zero push is pretty much a loss of yards for us every time, and yet Bajakian consistently calls it, and sometimes in the most crucial of situations. GA stacked the box and blitzed on 3rd and anything, and Bajakian was still calling that play when it hadn't worked the previous 10 times because the o-line couldn't block when the box was stacked against them.

A true freshman rb lit up the hedges today behind a young line and freshman TE's blocking. Mentioned in the same words with Jamal Lewis and record. Keep whining and expecting xbox perfection.

I think back to a lot of what this staff did during the Georgia game last year. I thought they called a great game for the most part (as I remember it).

This offensive line is so young/inexperienced/ineffective, it's hard to execute. Today, we didn't have two of our better receivers.

Speaking of the run game, how many carries did Lane get? I don't remember many.

Marlin had five carries for 1 yard. Having Pearson and Smith out certainly hurt but it was good to see us finally begin to exploit the seams and middle of the field with our tight ends. Indeed, Ethan Wolf led the team in receiving with 5 receptions for 69 yards.

I believe we ran the RB screen twice...... Could be wrong, but I am getting a bit old.

I remember Worley having to just throw it in the dirt because he couldn't get it set up before the rush got to him, but I'm pretty sure I'm older than you so I might be remembering wrong.

That might be something interesting to go back and take a look at this week.

You're putting a whole lot of people into one category here. There should be legitimate concern about our play calling IMO.

I don't think so necessarily. It's not 100% effective play calling or 100% ineffective play calling. I'm not pulling my hair out or calling for a new OC at this point. We hang points on UGA and I blame our loss solely on Worleys absence. He stays in the game, we win. I think most would agree.

I've wanted a new OC since midway last year..... It's not like today pushed me over the edge.

Ethan Wolf has been downright impressive. It's incredible he's such an integral part of our offense. I'm really excited to be able to watch him continue to develop.

But noooo....because we didn't win the game those of you who stated we would lose by 30 are still *****ing.

Count, no one wants to lose anymore.

I get that.

But we picked up a 5 star DT and a 4 star DE last night.

We have a very young line, a true freshman RB, and TKJR is already doing great and he is a freshman.

We were also without VP and Josh Smith...that would have changed things.

Our defense is stout too. We really made them have to throw the ball, they could not run it down our throats....and that is with a lot of our Dline being Freshman.

Give the man some time.

I think we make a bowl and next year we win 9.

Not trying to be an ass..... but who is our qb next year? Peterman? Dobbs, who has evidently regressed to the point that he can't beat out Peterman? A true freshman? We're going in the right direction, our talent and competitiveness levels are increasing. But we're gonna struggle again next year, for what feels like an eternity plus 1 year, if we don't find a very solid, talented qb. We don't have one on the roster right now besides Worley and I'm not feeling too good about trotting a freshman out there next year.

Spread is 19...we'll be lucky to beat it.

I hope we don't get blown out by 40.

and so and so.

Then we come out, with a group of Freshman, and a brand new line, and battle a GA that is NOT missing half their players like last year, and we take it down to the wire.

What the hell do you people want?

Yes, we are young...but for those about to say I am so sick of the young excuse...please check out our current recruiting....CBJ is fixing that.

Every f'n ESPN announcer gives us high praise after every game and says we are on the right path. They keep saying we are playing much better.

But noooo....because we didn't win the game those of you who stated we would lose by 30 are still *****ing.

Amen brother. Watched the game with a few GA friends and their attitude was markedly changed about the VOLS. They are not looking forward to next year and giving high praise to CBJ.

So questioning Bajakian's play calling now equates to wanting "Xbox perfection?" Good to know.

Hurd had a good game, he has the kind of talent which seems to find a way in regardless of poor play calling. Unfortunately, Hurd having a great game is't going to make up for Bajakian sticking to a failing game plan and not adjusting to the opposing defensive scheme.
