Netflix

Last episode/recap:

Finished tonight and still not convinced he’s guilty. Definitely not behind a reasonable doubt.

Now, as Ziti said a lot of these types of shows are slanted on way or another so you can never be too sure. That being said, the judge being interviewed at the end and bringing up his doubt speaks volumes to me. He sat through all of that and knows the case as well as anyone. Pretty powerful words in my mind.

Fascinating show overall

Here’s the thing I keep going back to.
If it wasn’t him then what happened? She didn’t fall down and then fall down and fall down and fall down and fall down, etc. I mean imagine the story they tried to sell playing out in real life. It would be like an “America’s funniest home videos” scene that ended in a fatality.

Edit: edited for Newt even tho it wasn’t really a spoiler

You guys are really trying to ruin this for me aren't you? I have to check this thread with one eye closed.

Oh Netflix topped $400 yesterday.

No idea. Is it possible for a fall to cause those injuries? Extremely unlikely, but it is possible.

It’s not the defenses job to prove innocence anyways. The prosecution is tasked to prove he is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and I don’t think they did that (from what I saw).

The police work was suspect at best with Dever’s testimony/“tests”, finding the blowpoke and not telling anyone, sending certain tests certain places to get the desired results, not performing critical tests in a timely manner, etc.

Whether or not he was guilty, the fix was in from the beginning and a fair trial was not had. That’s a problem.

It's nearly impossible to prove innocence in most cases.

yeah I agree with all that except I don’t agree that a fall caused her injuries. She had clumps of her own hair in her hands and she had too many wounds. Even had cuts on her face. Also blood was found outside the staircase.

As to the tactics used I agree they were stacking the deck because they didn’t have the specific evidence on him and the burden of proof is on them. Still think he was guilty and I think he killed the woman in Germany also. Mostly because I believe he killed Kathleen. He was the last person to see the other woman alive and he “stayed over to help put the kids to bed” and she was found dead the next morning. In both cases he is the last one with them and they died the exact same way.

Pretty smart owl. He opened the door and let himself out afterwards.

Isn't the Owl Theory that she got attacked outside, went inside, was disoriented trying to go up the stairs and fell? I haven't read it in awhile so I might be remembering wrong.

Idk. Sounds silly to me. If the owl attacked her outside then there would be more blood outside IMO. Not 5 gallons at the bottom of the staircase.

I think it's silly that a word(s) would make your hair stand on end, but good to know cause my favorite hobby is making people uncomfortable.

I simultaneously hate the word and use it regularly. Nothing can make your hair stand on end like a grownass man calling another man a "silly goose".

My new niece or nephew being born in December is going to have the initials SG, me and my 8 year old niece, the baby's sister, have already nicknamed the baby Silly Goose.
