I looked into the Clayton Peterson Duke/bomb thing...it's even stranger than I expected. He intentionally made a bomb that wouldn't detonate so that he could break into the registrar's office, steal back his fake ID, and leave a harmless bomb that would make it appear to be an act of terrorism as opposed to a burglary. He ended up doing 4 years.

Whoa. Got a link?

there’s a part in the series when they find the blow poke and Peterson is retelling the story and the kid is basically saying to him “i have found it but if I need to I’ll get rid of it.” Was that Clayton?

he finds that the investigators had located the blow poke in 2002 and even took pictures with it, then apparently just left it in the garage. Crazy

oh I was just saying that the kid was ready to throw a murder weapon used to murder his mom/step mom to the bottom of a lake if need be. Says a lot IMO

Watched into the abyss, evil genius and the staircase recently on Netflix. Anything else along those lines you guys can recommend?

Sold. After I finish keepers I’m on it.

The quirkiness of the Norwegians totally reminds me of Fargo and then there is a lot of dark humor with clever organized crime scams and rackets.

Don't let me oversell it tho. If you expect it to be amazing, you might be disappointed. If you expect it to be just good, you'll totally enjoy it.

Three episodes into Staircase. Do they address why this is being filmed?

No, but I assume it's because it's a high profile murder case. It's not every day that a multi-millionaire author is accused of murdering his wife.
