I'd rather hear Gary than Ware. Both over react and say dumb stuff. Ware more than Gary.

You guys are idiots; just because Danielson likes to blow smoke about Tim Tebow etc. etc. doesn't make him a bad announcer.

Tim Tebow aside, Gary is awful to listen to. The guy is so self-righteous

actually, i appreciate danielson. he calls it like he sees it, it's not his fault we've sucked for the better part of a decade. and the sad part, he really isn't wrong in his assesments.

i do get tired of going back to the replays to show you he was right. the dude has an ego, no doubt.

like nessler. wasn't a fan of Verne, appreciate what he meant to the game etc...but not my cup of tea. it's my age, but my favorite was Ron Franklin and Mike Gottfried. don't hate Sean McDonnnough.

Ware tries to be unbiased, do his best on reads and play by play and hype good players from both teams... Danielson just seems to have an agenda no matter how the game is playing out.

Ware > Verne > Gary IMHO

and I'm not saying Ware is top shelf material by any means.

I dislike Blackledge less than Daniels but I detest CBS foisting former Big10 people on us. Let those 2 guys do that conference, give us former SEC guys. The subliminal is the SEC guys can't do it.

I've never been a fan of Ware. Last year he was so pro-Vandy at the end of the Vandy game it was like listening the the Commodore network. I hope he doesn't get assigned to any Vol games this year.

My gosh I can't stand Captain Obvious Ware. Previous poster said it best about the Vandy game.I think he's a little biased against UT. Also you say he hypes good players... I appreciate that he likes to brag on the kids but if the 3rd string kicker comes in, you think Vinateri just entered the game lol. I like his old partner, Dave whoshisbritches that is underappreciated by still being stuck on secnetwork.

most commentators will talk up the underdog in games like that, especially when there's a legit chance for the to pull the upset.

I, for one, dissagree. I think Danielson adds to the game. He points out things that most watching are not able to pick up on. I think he's informative and straight laced in that he tells it like it is without showing favortism.

Unlike Keith Jackson who was Alabama all the way!

Agreed. It's not his fault, but Gary & Verne called most of the worst losses we've had over the past 10 years (i.e., almost every Florida & Alabama game), and a lot of Vol fans probably just associate his commentary with those losses. It's like PTSD.

Taking off the orange goggles, it's indisputable that Gary Danielson is among the most knowledgeable and observant color commentators in college football.
