Yeah, that's what I imagine. I am just trying to draw a balance between being interested and being too much, in terms of texting and what not.

I don't expect you to. There has been a lot of alcohol and disappointment involved and I am just happy with a response. lol

Hey Nerdle, we lost a St. Petersburg Indy driver yesterday in Vegas. Did you follow Dan Weldon at all?

I didn't actively follow him, but I knew about him and have watched him race. I was really shook up about it, felt sick to my stomach. He was a great driver and apparently a really likable guy.


This is one of the parts I really hate about motor racing. I cant think of many other sports where the possibility of death on the playing field is a real possibility. Also this being an individual sport you get to know each competitor well, so when something like this happens, a lot of fans are left with nothing.


Truly a sad, sad, day.

This guy was really well liked by the community. He was not one to lock himself away in a gated community. He was often spotted in St. Pete doing regular guy/Dad things and was very approachable. That open cockpit racing seems a lot more dangerous than stockcar racing. Sad to lose anyone that young. Only 33.
