People keep throwing out the La Tech stats but CHOOSE to ignore the REASONS why his 3rd year was bad.

La Tech was a disaster when CDD took over but in year 2 he WON and made it to a bowl game for the 1st time in decades and he WON the Bowl game.

Year 3 was a disaster too but the REASON was because he had at least 9 starters that were seriously hurt and the team was so short on depth that CDD was starting freshmen just to put a team on the field.

You take 9 starters off of most any team and they WILL lose alot more games and I don't care what team that is.

Take 9 starters off of the gators or AlaBubba and that are NOT in the hunt for a National title.

Stats mean nothing unless you do the analysis to know the REASONS behind those stats.

Same with the useless star ranking system of kids coming out of high school...Many 4 and 5 star players are a BUST in college and more 3 star players make it to the NFL.

Real Tennessee fans will NEVER come on here every single day and bash and belittle our coaches, players and football program like we see so many do here on a daily basis.

Those people are TROLLS just trying to hurt our recruiting because High School players WILL come on here and do alot of reading to learn things, see the fan perspective and help them decide what college they want to go to.

Do NOT try to tell me you're a real Tennessee fan and come on here daily with your bashing and belittling of our program that CAN hurt our recruiting because real Tennessee fans would NEVER say or do things that can hurt our program !

It can't be harder to win in the SEC than the WAC, and also easier to win games at Tennessee

I agree that faith by a bunch of fans on an internet message board won't beat a better team, but I would disagree that a teams faith can"t.

This. I'm not one for exaggeration but anyone who thinks things are "just fine" has accepted a level of mediocrity I don't endorse. Being honest about your team isn't a crime.

Talk about delusional. No one here hates Tennessee, and if you want to keep living in a fantasy where our team is just perfect you can keep it to yourself

Radio stations need Controversy...they need people to call in and complain. That's why they do say all the negative stuff about the state of the UT football program. It helps the ratings.

Let's face it, change is tough on program. And this program has had a lot of change the past couple of years. Things will calm down, Dooley seems to have a good handle on the direction of the program. They (the radio personalities or even the fans) may not agree with him, but he does seem to have a plan. And that is more than can be said for either Fulmer or Kiffin.

Do u think UT was 30 points better than UGA or 3 points worse than Bama last year??? Faith and circumstance are huge factors in all walks of life,...

Obviously Bama had more faith than us then, their NC didn't have anything to do with talent, or coaching....

On this point, yes. Any team going into the game not thinking that they could win should just stay in the locker room.

truth is we are staring down the barrel of yet another sub par year. no faith is going to change that. we will be lucky to hit 7 wins. that is just the way it is.
