The one thing that can be said for him is that he allows Fulmer to shine on the weekly Phil Fulmer show. Only Kesling could out-bland even Fulmer's vanilla on-camera persona.

Yes, this is another big gripe of mine as I like to watch these shows but they are almost always awkward and cringe-inducing. Phil needs to have someone with an opposing personality to help him get through these appearances. Ya know, when Kessling interviews CBP, Pearl is the one who is playing this role and keeping the interview entertaining and not awkward.

To the above poster about grouping Bob with Phil: I am guilty of that, whether fair or not. I think a lot of it has to do with their appearance on the show I was just speaking of along with many other similarities.

You'd think I just admitted to being a Communist or something. :)

The best play by play person should have gotten the job. Mike is hands down better than Kesling. Even the play by play guy for UT Chattanooga (Jim Renolds) is better than Kesling.
Jim Reynolds is actually very good....I agree.
As a side note, I was looking for something in a scrapbook at my grandparents a number of years back and found the clip. On the back side of the clip there was an advertisement for "The Tennesee Outdoorsman" on PBS and Larry Munson was the host. Just an intersting side bar that lets us know that at least "he was brought up right".
