I can't speak to Golden, but one of the things that was rumored Donovan liked about Florida is that he had everything available to win without all the pressure you might get at a place like Kentucky.

Some may be upset by that, others are ok with it.

I remember I was in Gainesville after Florida reached the Final Four in 2006. At that time, all of the heavy favorites were out and winning a national title was a legitimate possibility. The first caller on one of the radio shows asked about Urban Meyer's comment referring to the RBs as trash after one of the spring practices. The host was shocked that there was a call about anything other than basketball

Again, some may be ok with that. Others would be upset they aren't the big dog.

Florida continues to have a small and not especially nice arena that they don't always fill (even this year they did not sell out every game). They are hurt by having their campus far from any cities but they still have over 50k students and everybody they need to support them, so you'd think they could fill the place.
