I will only say this. If Baylor gets 4 years of "double secret" probation for their shenanigans, UT better get a serious slap on the wrist.
Cannot even compare sexual assault with "allegedly" funneling a bit of cash to recruits in a hilarious way.
I think this bodes well for UT. The NCAA is not in a position to hand down stiff punishments rn.
UNC got off for the exact same reason.By the way, this wasn’t any sort of not guilty verdict or anything either.
The NCAA basically said that Baylor’s callousness and ignorance when it came to sexual assault was so bad AT THE ENTIRE SCHOOL that the athletes weren’t getting special treatment, hence no violations.
Art Briles will be head coach at an SEC by January
LSU is my guess lol
I don't think he needs to pull a rabbit out of his butt this season in order to keep his job, but he doesn't need to lose any more than about 3 games. They do get Auburn, Florida, and A&M in Baton Rouge and their fans will expect to win all of those.Unless Orgeron pulls a rabbit outta his butt this season I could fully see LSU canning him. Part of it will be the timing. As Texas changed coaches last year and most of the other really big dogs have coaches that are secure. Only ones that might come open would be Michigan depending on what happens with Harbaugh, and maybe a UF or Oklahoma if Mullen or Riley bolt to the pros. In other words, they may have the chess board to themselves.
If that happens though, I think the Tigers will go big game hunting-for someone bigger and younger than Briles. I don't think the boosters there have still gotten over whiffing on Tom Hermann the last go around when they had to settle for Orgeron so they will surely be foaming at the mouth this time.

If O turns in a subpar year I think he would be on a very hot seat (meaning 2022 would need to be stellar) but not fired yet. LSU fans have and should have high expectations but they are not as crazy as Bammers who expect to win or at least be in the title game every year. I think LSU fans expect to lose no more than a couple games every year.Like I said, I think LSU may be in play simply because of timing.
I just can think of any other top 10-20 jobs coaches who are on the hot seat other than maybe Harbaugh. Somebody may leave for the NFL or whatever but the big dogs are either set or have recently changed coaches. Of course there is the possibility that a recent hire really bombs-maybe Norvell at FSU goes 3-9 or something and they pull the plug.
If Orgeron turns in another sub-par year? Those Cajuns think every season should be like 2019.
Matt Wells had better pull a rabbit out of his arse in Lubbock this season. Briles is a Tech grad and former Tech assistant. West Texans love him.Art Briles is never getting a job again. He’s still incredibly toxic. He was not found absolved of any wrongdoing despite what Clay Travis wants you to think.
