Got any more of them July commits?!
Coach will know how good a job the coaches did with the available resources. The stats are the stats, but it is possible that CJH believes our guy got more out of the room than anybody on the short list in his top desk drawer. That is always a driver in staff evaluations.Just watch the games. Run blocking was great. Pass blocking was not. Not sure what to make of your group think suggestion. I can observe and think for myself.
Campbell was playing on the knees of a 80 year-old. He was awful in pass protection last year as a result. Dayne Davis was a former walk-on better suited at Guard. Heard was out of shape and coming off injury. Spraggins was a solid run blocker, but lacked the feet, quickness, or length of a good pass blocker. None of the 4 starters we lost were drafted for a reason.Coach will know how good a job the coaches did with the available resources. I think Elarbee got what he could out of the talent he had. The knock on Elarbee has always been his recruiting, but that seems to have either been corrected or worked around starting with the 2024 cycle.
We will start to see the fruits of better OL recruiting, but it’s such a developmental position that it takes a few years. I do think this year, we will see varying contributions from Warren, Perry, Satterwhite, and Sanders. Next year, we can probably add some others like J. Heard and Ginther to that list of contributors.
This 2026 OL class is shaping up to be the best of the bunch.
I would say you're in the minority there. Many people I talk too, including my own belief is that drive through Waynesville via 40 is brutal.Forcing you that way because of the repair at TN NC line. But it is right off 40. That detour up 26 and down 81 is the pits.
