NBA2k13

Much too difficult to level up your player this year.. I'm a 6'6 SG, Dropped 37, 4, 3 against Kobe and the lakers an got a total of 220 VC after the multiplier.. Makes no sense. Shot 61% from the field too.

I don't enjoy my player mode, i don't have the patience to build it up. And i like being a PF and i never get the ball

I got lucky with my player mode. I made me a center and was drafted by Phoenix. faceup (so I had a decent mid range jumper) and then I basically my made close range/inside 99 ASAP after getting some VP from playing on the Association mode.

And Dragic passes the ball like crazy, at least in my player. So I set a ton of screens for him and get the ball near the hoop.

Yeah, that must be it. I'm like a 36 on dunking. I'm too worried at this point about getting my speed, quickness, and vertical up. I can't even chase my guy down the floor, I'm so slow.

I play for the Kings 6'6 Scoring SG, playing on all-star.. So far I've played only 10 games and I'm like a 67 overall but still am averaging 32-4-4.. I shoot like 30 times a game though hah.. Just takes so long to level up my player it's kind of annoying. Fun game though.

What pick did you get drafted? I was a 9 pick, and they started me at 63 overall, and I've only improved by 1 in 25 games since.

I started one, I am a 6'5 PG. Got drafted by the Raptors. 8th I think. PLayed 5 games. I am a 67, and just cracked the starting lineup. I only shoot like 10 times a game. Avg 12pts, 5 rebounds and 5 asssists. I have to work on my guys layups and defense.

5th overall got in the starting lineup after 4-5 games and have my Nike shoe deal and multiple endorsements but am only a 67. Annoying too because ill miss wide open layups and then drain a deep three. Seems weird.

I'm hoping career milestones will give me some serious VC, otherwise my guy will peak at a rating of like 80.

Don't worry, it won't. Scored 50 and got like 100 VC.. Enough for 1/2 of a +1 for 3pt. I'm about to just do an offline myplayer so I can do the regular experience points

Thats where 2k gets you this year. Do it the old fashioned way and it takes you a month or spend $30 bucks and max your guy out. Your decision.

A month? I've played 30 games since Christmas and my guy's gone up 1 rating point. I'm thinking I'll be up to a 70 by the time NBA2k14 comes out.

I know it stinks to have to go out of the mode you are trying to earn points towards, but it is the fastest way to do so.

Or just play some regular online matches and get 250 vc per completed game.

Is that where it maxes out? Might as well play MyCareer...I'm getting better, I can get like 160+ VC in a game, and it builds towards season and career milestones which hopefully will give me enough VC to trump the 250 you earn there. Hopefully I'll start learning ways to improve my VC, too.

250 + 30 if you play as a mid level team (grizz), or +60 if you play as a scrub team. Also +10 for a win. So in one game you can rack up 320 vc. If I ball out in MyCareer on a highlight game, I may get as much as 230.

Overall it's just a very terrible setup by 2k this year. You shouldn't be able to go to a 99 overall in one season, but high 80's shouldn't be impossible to attain like it is now with this VC system. I MIGHT get to an 75 overall by the time the season ends, which is ridiculous considering my guy is already 23 years old.

What they need to do is make you a 75 for a picks 1-5, 72 for 6-10, and 70 for the rest of the lottery.

Also, I think it's silly that you pick your playing style and everything else is terrible. I wish they would let you pick three things you are really good at. Let's say I have a 6'11/260 pound old school center. So my three great skills are:

1) Great back to the basket game
2) Great defensive rebounding
3) Passing ability

So I now have three distinct skills and other things I can improve on.

If you want a 6'5/210 uber athletic guard.

1) Athleticism (Speed, Strenght, jumping ability, etc.)
2) Ability to hit shots in the paints
3) Ability to steal

Some idea like that.

Yeah if you choose athletic guard you literally can't hit a shot unless its a dunk or layup. Oh well I guess.
