In 6th season, and I'm finally a 99...still room for upgrades, and I've barely tapped into signature skills. Two-time MVP, and two-time champion. I'll actually make HOF, which I never did on last year's game cause my players were maxed out on upgrades after 3-4 seasons, so I'd get bored and build a new guy.

So, I changed my internet service to a static IP from the same provider. Since they made the switch my NBA2k13 game has not been able to connect with the server, so I can't play MyPlayer mode. The weird thing is I can play Halo 4 online, etc. but when I try to save my MyPlayer account it rejects me with an error message. Anybody run into this?

I created a MP last night. He's a 6'3 PG. I got drafted by the Hornets at #11. I'm in March of my first season. So far I've played like 10 games (mainly did the key games). I'm the 6th man. I've spent all of my upgrades on shooting abilities, still a 66 overall. I don't know if its my shot timing or what, but I brick almost all of my shots. I'm shooting like 30% or lower every game...any tips on what abilities I need to focus on? Shooting form? I'm currently using all of Derrick Rose's shots.

Oh and I don't really care for the VP crap. I don't like how I have to buy gear/equipment.

I would get your medium range jumper up to about 70 first, and practice the timing on it. If you take good looks from there on a catch-and-shoot basis, you should be able to shoot a pretty high %, and it will allow you to get past defenders once you've made a few.

My medium is at 82%. That's mainly the skill I've been putting all my points into.

Yeah, take open catch-and-shoot looks (not off the dribble) and you should be able to hit them with great frequency once you have the timing down.

This game is based soo much on timing, if your a little late on a dunk, lAy-up, or jump shot your gonna your either gonna miss or get put into some crazy lay up cheese where your gonna miss.

I still enjoy this game I'm on game 6 vs Cavs about to close them out

Hate the player abilities thing they did. I'd love it but you can't delete them in dynasty so basically a 72 Paul Pierce is still hitting everything because of his abilities.

So I am able to start a new career, and did, but I cannot resume my original career...it just gives me a server error message. Xbox better work some **** out before they make gameplay increasingly reliant on the internet for the 720. I'm very skeptical about how the new system will function.

I'm a SG in my 4th year (ranked 88) and I wanted to win DPOY, so that's what I shot for. Averaged 17, 5, 7, 2, and 1 shooting .545 FG%...I wasn't an all-star, but somehow I won MVP. First team All-D, but no DPOY.

Anyone else notice how if you shoot an open uncontested three pointer you make it 99% of the time

Still waiting for a game where you can average 10 rebounds without having to play 12 minute quarters. The blocking functionality sucks too.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to make the sliders apply to myplayer. I set them the way I want them on the main menu under "custom" game style, but when I'm in myplayer it doesn't offer "custom" game mode. Only "default" and "simulation".

I don't think there are sliders in MP. Sucks because it would fix most of the problems I have with it.

Correct. You can't adjust sliders for MyCareer on consoles. I'm not sure why they won't add that "feature". On PC you can use CheatEngine to do it (along with every other aspect of gameplay). I have to admit playing on PC is 100% bettter as long as your PC can run it. Plus it's a lot cheaper $10 last time I checked. You can make a player any height you want for all position (ever wanted a 7'10" F), take off the attribute caps, adjust all sliders not just gameplay, pretty much anything.

With the vanilla game I could take a 1st year 6' PG and lead the league in rebounds and average 60pts a game on the hardest difficulty and never lose a game. On PC with the same player and adjusted sliders I definitely can't can't rebound vs the bigs and struggle to win while averaging around 15ppg.
