NBA Playoffs Thread

I don't think people should be that hard on Smith. On the net, that was a positive play. Let's not forget he got a rare offensive rebound off a FT and ran out the clock. That's a much better result than GS getting a final shot.

He's stupid, but he's a scapegoat for the refs. They're the ones who really blew it in the clutch. They owe him BJ's for the distraction.

Hill should be getting more blame, too.

He said he knew it was tied and he tried to get enough space to take a shot then he thought Lebron was about to call a timeout so he just stopped.

Hill should have made the free throw, but players miss free throws, that happens.

I fear that GS will win game 2 handily, split the 2 in Cleveland, and then close it out in game 5 at home.

Which will be a shame cause this could’ve been a good one. And I realize it still can but it’s hard to not be pessimistic.

This was Cleveland's chance to win the series. It's over now. All time great performance from LeBron. Probably his best Finals game.

I feel like we all just got robbed of a good series.

I think a sweep is coming. Last night was the shot. Punch the bully in the face and make him uneasy about himself. Then KD and Draymond start bickering at each other, start questioning the coaching, etc.

LeBron had a free pass this year to go anywhere he wants because that team around him sucks. Now it’s magnified by 10.

Chris Paul has already been hitting LeBron up to join the Rockets next year.

As much as I hate James Harden, the Rockets are his best bet to take down Golden St to win himself another ring.

LeBron isn’t getting any younger...

A well established team where he doesn’t have to carry a load on his back is the best thing for his career.

Why stay in Cleveland potentially hurting your Finals Record?

No....he's an idiot. Throwing up a shot with his eyes closed would have been smarter than what he did.

That's compelte BS. Dude thought they had the lead. You can read his lips to James, he says to him he thought they had the lead.

Idiot just needs to own that he was a moron.

Right. And of allllllllll the times JR shoots the ball, this time he doesn't. That's irony.

only dude I ever saw play who could routinely shoot you out of games, and then when he has his big chance, unshoots you out of the game.

Yep.

Plus dribbling out to half-court as fast as you can does not equal "trying to get an open shot". Unless he was planning to shoot from half-court, and with him I guess you can't rule that out.

51/8/8 on 59% shooting, 10/11 on free throws, a steal and a block.

May have been the greatest finals performance I've ever seen.

Wasted because Durant gets a couple olbigatory bogus trips to the freethrow line and JR Smith should be wearing a helmet.
