NBA Playoffs Thread

I think Ewing would be dominate. He played really good defense and was a beast in the middle. Shaq? Sheesh, who in the world would even guard him now?

Honestly I hate Ewing so giving him props is hard. Lol Him having to switch constantly and guard out to the 3 point line might limit his minutes against certain teams. But yeah he would kill most centers today. I think both Shaqs would be killers but that scary freak in Orlando oh my.

I just hate when people dismiss older guys with such ease, great players adapt.

Agree on Van Exel. What do you think about a guy like James Worthy? I would love to have seen guys like Wilkins, Drexler and the real Isiah Thomas in todays NBA.

IDK about James, his shot wasn't there really, he'd still be good, but IDK how good. Oddly I think a guy like Cliff Robinson would be greatly valued today, good shooter who could play pretty good D. I heart Zeke so of course he would kill everyone. Lol Drexler would be great anytime. IMO Nique too, just to much of an athletic freak.

Ewing would have no chance in today's NBA. He was too slow.

Shaq would also be too sliw, but he's good enough at other things to still play great ball.

Look at it this way...why did big men absolutely dominate college and then stopped and they haven't dominated for 30 years? It's because the players adapted to the 19' 3-point line and diminished the value of a star pivot. The NBA has finally caught up to college and they've adapted to the 23' 3-point line.

Ewing wouldn't even get playing time in those conference finals we just watched.

Korver's career was about 8 years too late. By the time the 3 point revolution was happening, he was already 30. Can you imagine adding a prime 3 and D guy like him to a system like the Rockets, C's, or Warriors? The Rockets don't really have any lethal 3 point specialists, and they are still a lot to handle.

Rumors so far, but the fact that the accounts got set to private after The Ringer spoke with the 76ers is a smoking gun.

The Ringer explains it monitored five different accounts and on May 22 reached out to the 76ers to verify if two of the accounts were in fact Colangelo's. On that same afternoon, the three accounts that were not mentioned were switched from public to private. The Ringer said it reached back out to the organization Tuesday, asking about all five accounts. Colangelo confirmed Tuesday that only one was an account belonging to him. It is currently private.
