Im amused that some people including yourself, cant appreciate amazing basketball thats being played right now when LeBron is on the court.
You wont see this type of player again.
LeBron is a legit threat to Jordan for greatest of all-time. Many people who grew up watching Jordan can't handle that fact, so they have to nit pick anything they find to downplay his accomplishments.
And no, I do not think LeBron is greater than Jordan yet. In my opinion, he would need at least 3 more Finals MVPs before he could be considered as good as Jordan. Odds are very slim he'll ever get that, but it is possible, and that terrifies people.
LeBron is a complicated figure. If you're talking purely game on the court, he's not as good as Jordan but he's a lot closer than his critics would want to admit. IMO, LeBron is despised by the people who despise him for his persona/attitude/demeanor combined with the fact that he's a really good player; so good in fact that he's in the same conversation as Jordan.
The reason why I personally have never been a fan of his is that a lot of the time he's a sensitive, petulant, overgrown child (as are lots of other NBA players). "The Decision" still plays a role in people's perception of him, even though that was several years ago now and has since returned to Cleveland and won a title there.
What LeBron will never be is the marketing vehicle or cultural phenomenon that Jordan was/is. But purely in terms of basketball skill? He's really close.
Lebron is a crybaby on the court at times, but IRL he is pretty much a model citizen. One example that didn't get enough attention is that Lavar Ball took a shot at Lebron and his kids, and Lebron gave words of encouragement to his opponent Lonzo Ball while he was in the middle of one of the worst rookie streaks in history. Who does that? Petulant children do not.
People are just taking a microscope to him, is all.
You gonna act like he aint passive agressive as ****?
I'd say he is that way with his teammates and organization, yes, and he's succeeded while doing it. He's not always the best teammate, that's for sure. MJ punched multiple teammates and made BJ Armstrong cry, so I'm not sure anything Lebron has done makes him "petulant" relative to that.
Are you saying he's passive/aggressive as a public persona?
