Harden is a career 36% shooter from 3 point. Not great. What's great is his career .601 TS%

Westbrook is 32% and .529, respectively

The fact that Hardens is so bad this year is kind of puzzling, you would think he would have better looks this year. Both guy take terrible 3's.

Harden is one of the few guys that regularly takes shots he shouldn't and still scores incredibly efficiently.

The Rockets are crazy. They take 3s or layups. Both types of shots create great opportunities for offensive rebounds. Can't argue with the strategy, especially based on their personnel.

Chalmers, Wade, and Lebron are so fun to watch on perimeter D. Stephenson and George are the best twosome, but that's the best trio.

smh

not as useless as per game.

Don't be ridiculous. Per 36 is a projection, per game are actual results. Just because a guy averages 3 points and 3 rebounds a game in 6 minutes doesn't mean he could come close to averaging 18 and 18. There's a reason he's only getting 6 minutes a game.

Westbrook is the better player. If their offensive games are a wash by comparison because Harden is a lazy defender.

Harden is a great defender. That's where they're a wash. Westbrook is a great offensive talent, but one of the worst decision makers in the league.

I don't use it to compare guys playing 6 minutes to starters. I mean, it's interesting in that case, but they don't play enough to even know that their stats are significant.

It's useful for comparing a guy who gets 32 minutes to a guy who gets 25 minutes. You can't compare their per game stats because the guy playing 32 has a huge advantage.

And I don't see it as a projection, I see it as a standard of measurement. This is what this guy does every 36 minutes, not this guy would do exactly this if you gave him 36 minutes.

I know you don't put the same emphasis on stats as I do, but anybody who rebounds, gets steals, blocks, and avoids fouls demonstrates defensive effort, physicality, ability, quickness, and awareness.

Both Westbrook and Harden are well above average for their positions in each category.

I've watched Harden a lot. I think the effort is there. I've seen Westbrook be lazy too. Everybody has their moments. Neither one of them is shut-down on the ball (very few are), but they are both great help defenders.

Harden owned a good offensive big in a clutch moment last night, 1-on-1. I watch the games.
