Timberwolves would have been the worst team of all time without him.

Just so we're on the same page....

If the Heat would win 40 without Lebron and the win 60 with him...

and the T-Wolves win 0 games without Love and 40 with him...

You are saying Lebron is more valuable to his team than Love is to his?

If the T-Wolves win only win 40 games, then he wasn't that valuable.

Well the Twolves are not going to go 0-82.

Say you remove KD and the Thunder lose 20 more games, fall from the 1 seed to a 7-8 seed or miss the playoffs.

Now remove Love and they lose 20 more games, they go from missing the playoffs to missing the playoffs.

Who is more valuable?

Equally valuable.

If Love makes his team 40 games better and Lebron makes his team 20 games better HTF can Lebron be MVP under any circumstance?

This makes no sense to me.

Love doesn't make his team 40 games better, so your argument makes no sense.

And if going from the 1 seed to no playoffs, vs no playoffs to no playoffs is equal value to you...well idk what to tell you.

It's a thought exercise.

You're basically arguing that MVP is in part a team award.

I take the literal meaning of the words, most valuable player. Wins are what I value.

Didn't you put up their wins with and without love a little while back and the difference wasn't that much. Iirc

Most Valuable Player still doesn't mean best, even though Love wouldn't win it then either.

The difference was the roster. It wasn't the same team. They added AK47, Budinger, Rubio got healthy, and Pekovic improved a lot his sophomore year.

Basically, Ridnour was the only halfway decent teammate Love had in the year in question.

If your team sucks, you're not that valuable to it.

This makes no sense. Let's put this in perspective...

If you take your sales team from $1 million in sales to $1.2 million...

and I take my sales team from $200K to $800K...

you're a more valuable salesman to your team than I am to mine?

Either way if he was really that valuable there would be a bigger increase and decrease in wins, with and without him.

Except LBJ takes his from 1 mill to 1.5, while Love takes his from 50k to 55k. So yes LBJ is better at selling vacuum cleaners than Love.
