There is no way I have Melo on the Olympic team.

Paul
Russ
Hardin
PG
Parsons
KD
LBJ
Lenard
Howard
A. Davis
Love
Aldridge

That would be my 12.

Korver is a solid player but...

/ discussion on that making him a top player.

I don't dispute your point that this is proof he's a top 28 player, but...

Nique didn't belong. '92 was the first time eligible and that team didn't need an aging slasher. I don't think Spree, Francis, or LJ belonged. In fact, Spree and Francis were average at best.

T-Mac refused the invitation. In fact, Jefferson, Odom, and Okafor only played because in 2004 Kobe, Kidd, and Garnett all refused as well. BTW, you left Iverson and Marbury off your list, and don't dispute me on this, they were f-ing terrible.

I think Marion did belong.

And let's be honest, this roster is a hell of a lot better than anything we fielded between 2000 and 2008.

I'd be willing to bet 3% and ft% is all. Oh probably ast-t.o. ratio cause Korver never has to initiate an offensive or dribble thus driving his tos down.

That would drive his turnover # down, but if he doesn't make plays with the ball then his assists would go down, too. A:TO controls for that. And yes, Korver is above a 2:1, which is fairly rare for anybody who isn't a PG.

Korver is making 2.8 3-pointers per game at .458

Parsons is making 1.7 at .382 (with D Howard in the paint)

No contest from a shooting perspective

What? Nique was 9 years in averaged 26 in 91, 28 in 92, 30 in 93, and 26 in 94. Thats one bad ass aging Slasher. That team ran like crazy Nique would have fit great with them. Magic running the break, MJ on the left, Nique on the right. Nastiness.

I named 12 guys that didn't make it even if I concede those guys, which I don't, that still 8 guys that should have made it.

I'll agree with Marion actually. I could have found better replacements than RJ, Odom and Okafor. A.I. and Marbury added to guys that shouldn't have made it actually helps my argument, so thanks. I mean you are wrong, but thanks.

Korver destroys him from mid-range, too.

.700 from 10-16 feet and .460 from 16-22 feet

Parsons does .565 and .400 respectively

Parsons has it all over Korver slashing, but they don't need another slasher. The roster is full of that. Korver will keep the D honest on the perimeter better than any other wing. Spread out the floor for the bigs and the guys who are much better slashers than Parsons.

'Nique couldn't shoot that well and wasn't a very good defender, and he wasn't a very efficient scorer. He wouldn't have been a bad selection.

How many shot attempts does Korver have from 10-16 and from 16-22? It can't be a very big sample size because he only has 107 from inside 3 all year. I'm guessing 14-20 from 10-16. Also what are Parsons attempts from those ranges.

Dude we could have played on that team and they would have won by 25. He should have been on it as he wasn't just an aging superstar as you said.

Korver has made twice as many shots as Parsons from mid-range. :whistling:

But you are right, the sample sizes aren't that big. You can look at the prior 2 seasons, which makes the sample sizes a lot more significant and Korver is still destroying him. This probably isn't what you expected. It's not what I expected, but I know that we have lyin' eyes.

Korver does the job he gets paid to do, knock down 3's. Good for him

Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a butch?
